I am a board-certified doctor (not an ophthalmologist), and I am sharing my personal experience with Dr. Stephen Lareson in the context of a complex eye condition. In my view, the evaluation did not reflect the level of specialized knowledge required for keratopigmentation-related complications, which are highly uncommon and require specific expertise. He had no knowledge or experience whatsoever and his report was deceiving. The condition was characterized as stable despite ongoing and worsening symptoms, including blurred vision, halos, and severe headaches—symptoms that can be associated with serious ophthalmologic risk. The assessment appeared to rely on limited findings, without fully addressing the known limitations of such measurements in complex cases like this. Based on subsequent specialist input, there are serious concerns that the medical risk may not have been adequately recognized at the time of evaluation, which may have contributed to delay in appropriate care.
