Dr. Steve Chris Manitsas, MD

This man is the worst psychiatrist. He is a liar and extremely unsympathetic. He has denied me access to treatment by saying Kaiser doesn't offer it. By doing my own research and reaching out to others within Kaiser, I was able to receive these treatments in Kaiser. He has met me online once each year for the last three years (no more than 30 minutes each time). Based on these three visits, he claims he knows me well. He draws conclusions without knowing all of the facts. I would not recommend this man to anyone.

The most condescending doctor I’ve ever had the displeasure of encountering. Scolded me for opting out of a flu shot and literally asked me, “do you want to k1|| kids?” because I work in education. He’s made inappropriate comments in my chart about my appearance and if you’re prescribed benzodiazepines be prepared to be treated like a drug addict- surprise urine drug screens and a Narcan prescription without cause included. This man is an embarrassment.

It’s a very sad people like him have the credential to say what goes on your medical record. He’s a pill pushing doctor who won’t even truly hear you out and all of a sudden change make drastic changes in your medical routine. He wasn’t even considerate enough to show his face on a video call. It’s a shame I will be leaving Kaiser all because of this one guy who I met one time for less than an hour. Im actually very upset after being sober for over 6 years, one of this guy’s solution was that i get intervention for “street drugs”. I am extremely infuriated these people exist in mental health, who only make it worse for those who truly need help. Certain cops don’t deserve to be behind a gun and a badge and shouldn’t be a cop, just like this guy who falsely diagnoses, prescribes bunch wrong meds and take away meds thats actually been helping, and decides what to go on medical records, should not be called a doctor.
