Dr. Steven Andrew Battaglia, MD

Title: Frustrating Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy Experience with Dr. Steven A. Battaglia, M.D. My experience with Dr. Steven A. Battaglia's office was extremely frustrating. I got referred to Dr. Steven's office by my primary doctor. I went in and they were eager to schedule my surgery it was a nice pleasent experience i was it and out & Dr was kind. I was excited that the process was so smooth... SO I THOUGHT! We Scheduled a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy for early this month but it got rescheduled to later in the month due to a last-minute miscommunication about medication with the anesthesiologist. Scheduler Donna was my main contact. The office seemed unaware of critical details, Like how long a person is supposed to be off of certain medications before surgery. Which is extremely odd for the so called "best" facility in the Pasadena/ la county region. A week before my surgery I unfortunately got tonsillitis and was in extreme pain but I was advised not to take pain… medicine in the upcoming week of the schedule surgery. I called 3 times prior to the first scheduled surgery to confirm they would be able to still do the surgery even in my condition and they said they would be able to proceed. If I was able to take the pain medication then my condition wouldn't have been as bad as it was. I received a call 3 days before my scheduled surgery,stating that the medication I was on needed to be out of my system for 7-14 days . If I would've been made aware of that I wouldn't have taken it .(I was one day off). They didn't say all of this until Literally THREE DAYS BEFORE, After I had called THREE TIMES that week. (I was receiving calls all that week regarding payment but they failed to tell me that my surgery needed to be rescheduled!?!?! ) When I asked how they could not have had that information they said "Oh they were supposed to have sent that email three months ago but they "didn't" ... Awesome communication guys! *insert eyeroll and thumbs DOWN emoji" After that Epic Fail they said they would push my surgery back for a week. I was supposed to get my surgery this week, I hadn't heard anything which I thought was off so I decided to call. I called 3 days ago they said they would call back I still hadn't heard anything . WEIRD ... I called again the day before my surgery 9am ..."oh she'll call you back" ... OKAYYYYYY??!? . At this point I'm nervous. I called the surgery center to see if I was on the schedule and I wasn't ... they mentioned that sometimes they have last minute add ons so I decided to CONTINUE giving them the benefit of doubt and wait for them to call me back... 2:00 hits the office manager Connie calls me. "Hi umm seems to be some confusion we don't have you scheduled for tomorrow" ... ... ... I'm thinking How is this possible when it was THEM THAT GAVE ME THIS DATE. I had originally taken 2 weeks off of work and Family had taken time off for support not just once but TWICE and all she had to say was "sorry you're upset" . What does one do with that? They can try and reschedule me . What in the world make them think I would give them an opportunity to ROYAL F UP A THIRD TIME??!!? Would you ? They lack INTEGRITY. The lack of communication and last-minute changes caused unnecessary pain and inconvenience. This was an EXTREMELY Disappointing experience overall!

Needed a second opinion on a thyroidectomy. Dr. Battaglia was extremely thorough in explaining all my options, and eventually recommended a different biopsy to confirm that a thyroidectomy is warranted. Extremely satisfied with him and his professional staff.

Dr Battaglia is the best doctor! He’s very professional, honest, and nice. Always takes time to explain, listen to my concerns. I wouldn’t see any other ENT doctor. Office is nice and clean. Staff are very friendly.

Dr. Battaglia is informative, kind, knowledgeable with great bedside manners. He listened and gave me clear explanations and details about my ent issue as well as provided different options to explore before electing for surgery. His confidence makes me feel at ease about my procedure. Thank you.

This was the second time I visited Dr.Battaglia and as always he was very friendly and kind. He explained everything before doing anything and his associate Paul was great too. Wait time was great I was seen on time and was able to leave within 20min.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Battaglia. It was my first time seeing him and I was so impressed that he knew all about my past medical history. He knew my previous ear specialist and also my ENT who did my sinus surgery. I didn't mention my sinus surgery but he could tell I had surgery based on my vocals sounding nasally. You can tell he really does his homework prior to seeing his patients. He answered all our questions and concerns and we did not feel rushed. He made sure we felt comfortable with all the options given to us. His PA Paul was very helpful and attentive as well. I am super pleased with all the staff who work at Huntington Ear Nose Throat Head and Neck Specialist. I highly recommend Dr. Battaglia and his staff. He is a tremendous ENT who really cares!

Dr. Battaglia and his staff were great... They answered all my questions and concerns, I wish all doctors were like this. Truly patient first treatment.

I recommend the excellent care from Dr. Steven Battaglia, he is very kind, professional, always looking for ways to improve the quality of life with my health issues. A month ago had a procedure and Dr. Battaglia was very cautious, he explained step by step the procedure with minimal discomfort. His assistant Abby is very professional, great smile with a positive attitude. The entire staff is excellent with great customer service skills. I am happy to have Dr. Battaglia as my ENT doctor.

He's an incredible doctor. After seeing countless doctors for years and spending time and tonna money, all I heard was "We'll get to the bottom of it" while i was suffering. Finally came a cross a real doc who helped me and now i can finally breathe. Thank you Steve!

Went to Dr. Battaglia's office to see about a growth on my face and ultimately had surgery to remove it. I was quite impressed with the level of care all the way through not to mention the sheer expertise in surgery (which I mentioned)! I was treated well, my considerable number of questions were answered easily and respectfully, and my post surgery care has been wonderful. I felt that I was treated as a person the entire time and would recommend him to anyone. Thanks very much.
