Dr. Steven M. Baughman, MD

Me and my wife saw dr baughman a couple years ago after struggling with infertility. I had a massive varicocele problem which does affect fertility but can also cause a whole host of health issues in men, and his response was that "we are a faith based hospital, and there is nothing we can do for you ". Fast forward 3 years and the pain in my sack became unbearable. After seeing a new urologist, his exact words were "fertility or not, what urologist in their right mind would let a varicocele of this severity go untreated?!". Well a simple 6 hours later (2 hour outpatient procedure) my varicocele was fixed and i honestly feel like a new man, mentally and physically. Oh, and when we were in his office for the fertility issue, he made me feel like a complete idiot by all but outright insulting me. At one point he looked at me and my wife and said "you two have a son together? Are you sure its his?" Its all i can do to leave the expletives out of this review, do yourself a favor… and go elsewhere.

I go to Dr B's office only to start the visit with a very rude lady at the front desk! Then, as I was sent to him by the emergency Dr I saw 2 days earlier in severe pain in my scrotum, abdomen- i tell this to Dr. Baughman and he sees that my scrotum is swelled up so badly- he passes we on to Dr. Weber. I felt like he did'n't care whatsoever and it continued with Dr. Weber. So dissatisfied, still in excruciating pain. Careless people at that office!

Incredibly knowledgeable physician. I have been using him for the last 3 years and he is incredible at what he does. He tells it like it is and makes decision making much easier.

I see a lot of people commenting on his "bedside manner", that he isn't super friendly and can be abrupt in visits. Perhaps that is true, but then again, he isn't there to be your friend. He is there to advocate for you and treat you...and he does that better than most doctors ever will! He comes to appointments prepared, is clear in his instructions and advice, and works hard to get you the best treatment and referrals out there. At the end of the day, I don't need an expensive friend, I need a great doctor, and he's it!!

Refuses to see many patients even with a referral. Nursing staff takes several days to return phone calls. Doctor is rude and arrogant.

Horrible experience.

What a great addition to our community. Our hospital greatly needed a urology practice that actually cared about the community and patients. I am so thankful to transfer my urology care to Dr. Baughman.

The Nurse is Horrible at getting back to you regarding tests, they say they will call but never do or once said they were running another test and come to find out they didnt!

Very Thourogh explanations of the Diagnosis and explanations of all treatment options.

Even though my diagnosis was not an emergency, Dr. Baughman took the trouble to telephone the results to me on his day off.
