Dr. Steven Lee Benton, MD

Dr. Benton's assessment of the various tests done prior to and as a result of his recommendations were thoroughly explained to me. I was given various options along the way and received input from him that aided in my decisions. He zeroed in on my level of understanding and did not talk up or down to me. I have total confidence in his care over my situation.

Dr. Benton does not provide any valuable doctor-patient dialogue. He is self-centered and more interested in racking up charges than in providing the patient with any meaningful diagnosis. I was left knowing no more about my heart issue than when I went in to Dr. Benton at the St. Paul Heart Clinic. Dr. Benton met with me for a total of 10 minutes and did not return my phone call when I talked to his nurse requesting a more extensive diagnosis to my irregular heart beat issues. Dr. Benton added 3 additional 3rd-party heart monitoring procedures each followed-up by a separate doctor's analysis (at great additional expense), however, Dr. Benton did not provide a cognitive analysis to leave me more knowledgeable of my problem that when I arrived at his office.
