Awful bedside manner, rushed experience, found a much better physician

I waited 1.5 hrs as they had not put the correct appointment day in for me (I live 45 mins away mind u and also had literally a text and an email saying be there at 10 on this specific day). Stairs don’t work at the office which would have made it impossible for someone with a physical handicap to access the suite. No one apologizes to me for the wait. Dr comes in, performs the inspection and then is extremely dismissive and rude about my assessment of banding - which I’ve had twice. He says it doesn’t cause pain, I say have u had it? He hasn’t. We go back and forth. He leaves abruptly. The usual lack of emotional intelligence and surplus of ego that defines so many doctors. I’m sure he would have done a fine job if he had performed the procedure but he was a jerk and his bedside manner was lacking. Some advice - if you perform a painful and unpleasant procedure that you yourself have not undergone and one of your patients has had it done twice already please spare them the rudeness of… denying them their experience. Another low emotional intelligence doctor, not a surprise.

Dr. Brandeis is a consumate professional. He is extremely knowledgeable and perceptive. He takes time to really understand your situation. He recently performed my procedure with delicate care and precision and made me feel at ease throughout (which is no small feat considering how otherwise awkward this procedure would be). Bottom line: He has earned my trust and I am delighted to have him as my doctor.
