Dr. Steven Hal Brenner, MD

Im forever grateful to Dr. Brenner because God used him and his staff to make my greatest dream come true and that is to make me a mother for my three year old daughter now. He made it all possible.

I was a patient of Dr. Brenner's for a while and went in with the hopes of becoming a mom. After a long time of unsuccessful IUI's or not being able to attempt an IVF, it all became very discouraging. One night my husband and I met with Dr. Brenner to discuss my options and it was either try again, give up and adopt or egg donor. I was not ready to just give up on the dream of my family but money is a factor but I had to give it one more try. Well we said one more try then we will close this book and save to move toward adopting. Well long and behold I had an IVF procedure (finally) and 8 months ago I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy girl. Thank you for everything and for your wonderful staff.

My husband and I switched to a different practice and have had the most wonderful experience. Dr. Brenner made us feel terrible at every appointment. I felt dismissed, anxious, and most of all uncared for. Infertility is already a horrible situation to begin with - you don't need your dr. making you feel worse. After comparing our current doctor to Dr. Brenner there's no question,that we wasted too much time at Liivf. Dr. Brenner is curt, dismissive, and heartless. Reproductive endocrinologists should be giving that extra bit of TLC to their patients. He absolutely does not. Our current doctor is kind, nurturing, and most of all, really cares about his patients. I can't emphasize enough... Do not go to this practice and Do not use Dr. Brenner as your doctor.

Dr. Brenner needs to reevaluate his career choice. I have never met a more dismissive, insensitive, and uncompassionate doctor. My husband and I had the worst experience with this practice. I think in the bedside dept he scores a big zero. He is lacking any ounce of compassion and is truly forgetting why he became a dr in the first place. When you are dealing daily with emotional, hormonal women you need to have patience, a genuine heart, and most of all be a human being. I used to leave his office in tears because of his lack of compassion. The NP, Heidi is also a piece of work. She is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Horrible!!! Do not go to LIVF! It's a factory. And do not see Dr. Brenner!!!

I do not recommend this doctor. I had a horrible experience. I always left his office in tears. Not so much for my situation, but for the way I was treated. I remember having surgery with him and bleeding uncontrollably two days later and called the office as the sheet said, I had to call three times before I got a call back from him and then he told me he was leaving the office for the day soon and to hurry. This is after I called for six hours. He recommended a surgery that four other NYC drs told me absolutely not and were shocked it was recommended to me. When I called him to ask a question about my IVF transfer, he was so rude to me asking me what I want from him. I have since seen many drs in this field of medicine and NEVER endured what I did from this doctor. I ran into two other women since leaving who had a similar experience as me. Take my advice, there are WAY BETTER to see than this doctor

If you are looking for a doctor who is empathetic,has a bedside manner and shows just a bit of compassion do NOT use Dr. Brenner. He is cold, insensitive and does NOT go the extra mile for his patients. He is forgetting why he became a dr in the first place - and especially because he is in the profession of helping people. He is dealing with emotional , sensitive women and couples who want a baby more than anything - he does not know how to make you feel at ease. He made me feel terrible during every visit, phone call, etc. I have never felt that way about any other dr. My husband and I left the practice after several failed cycles. We are now with an amazing practice - with a dr. that has a heart and remembers why he went into the profession to begin with; to HELP people! The only people who made me feel at ease in the practice were the nurses: Jane & Jackie and the receptionist, Audrey. They were all very sweet. I thought the NP, Heidi was extremely inappropriate with comments she… made during sonograms. She comes across very sweet at first but VERY insensitive with DUMB joke like comments that nobody wants or needs to hear about their sono results. I can't emphasize enough the horrible experience we had at this practice. Insensitive, uncompassionate, and money-hungry. Dr. Brenner is by far the worst doctor I have yet to encounter. FYI- they are also the only practice that collects money before procedures are done which again is telling that they are all about the money!!!

I went to Dr Brenner after trying almost 4 years to get pregnant, he was recommended by a co-worker. After few test he sent my husband for a surgery. He also told me that all the test are good but some people are diagnosed with unknown infertility and that I WILL NEVER HAVE CHILDREN ON MY OWN. After so many years to hear that it was so cruel, just hurt my feelings so bad. My husband went to NYU for a second opinion and the the doctor told him that is nothing wrong with him and he definitely doesn't need a surgery. 3 months later I got pregnant on my own and now I am a mother of a beautiful girl. These kind of doctors should not have the license to practice.SO Dr Brenner, NEVER EVER tell a patient something like this!Oh, I forgot to add something, if you have a question he will charge you for it, there is a charge for every 5-15 minutes!

very rude and curt man....dismissive with patients....assumes you know as much as he does and when you ask questions he will talk down to you as an idiot when it is his JOB to explain and answer questions....it seems that he is selective ....if you are not doing an expensive treatment, like ivf etc, he cant be bothered....do not go to him..there are Many other great Dr's to explore...

Dr. Brenner and the staff at LI IVF are amazing. They guide you through the entire IVF process and are there to answer all of your questions, no matter what. Dr. Brenner is an extremely caring doctor. I experiences a rare problem while undergoing my treatment. He immediatley diagnosed and fixed my problem. I became pregnant during my first IVF cycle and owe it all to Dr. Brenner and his staff.

Dr.Brenner is a great doctor. I alway felt i was in good hands i am know 5 months pregent and the happiest i have ever been.
