Very caring and knows his stuff

I was transported by ambulance for emergency surgery and he was in my room going over surgery very quickly. He.was very patient and caring with me. It was my first surgery and he made sure to explain it in great detail. I was very pleased how he took the time to comfort me and make sure I was at ease going into surgery!! Great surgeon and great team he works with.

Hospital stay; Dr. Cahalan sat down and answered all of my questions with straight forward answers. He is a credit to his profession.

I came in through the ER. He saw me within an hour even though I hadn't scheduled, he seemed to have all the time I needed while I asked questions. His diagonosis was quick, he got me right in the OR and I recovered very quickly. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon!

- Bad bedside manner- Didn't check on me for more than 1 minute after surgery. - Tried to spend less than 2 minutes with me in post surgery examination. - Had no interest in my discomfort since surgery. - Very unprofessional.

I had an unusual problem but he had experience and figured it out quickly. The surgery was a snap. He's really good at puncture hole surgery
