Dr. Steven Cai, MD

I do not recommend Dr. Steven Cai. His surgery on my parent resulted in complications. Before the surgery, he did not mention the possibility of those complications, rather, he presented the surgery as something routine. After the surgery, my parent followed up with him periodically. The doctor never solved the complications. As time went on, we found it harder and harder to get an appointment from him. He would try to cancel an appointment that was made months in advance. It seemed that he just wanted to wipe his hands clean and let us fend for ourselves. From day one, the doctor was very business-like and was never personable. I would also like to mention the doctor's office staff. As other reviews point out, the staff are very rude. Every time in the office, I observed that the staff made it a sport to belittle and ignore patients. Every staff participated in it, which makes me believe that the behavior is encouraged from top down. Considering that many patients, like my parent,… suffered from serious illnesses such as cancer, I am led to believe that Dr. Cai and his staff do not care for their patients.

The doctor himself was professional, but the front-desk staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. They hung up on me when I tried to reschedule my MRI and never provided the hospital name or contact info. Very disappointing experience.
