Dr. Steven Cohen, MD

Dr Steve Cohen (Cohen Ophthalmology - Tucson, Az) has left many patients with no way to get their medical records. The automated message on his office phone said leave a voicemail but he never responded to many messages we left; the automated message also said someone would be in the office from 7:45 - 3:30 M-THUR & 7:45 - 2:30 on Fri for patients to come in & sign a medical release for their records. I went many times during these hours and office door locked & dark inside with no answer to knocking - ran into many other patients with same story. Now there is a sign on the office that he has been evicted & employees in other offices say landlord changed locks & posted eviction sign. Does anyone know how to get our medical records???

Dr Cohen is a great Doctor and a Fantastic Eye Surgeon. I was having problems seeing and now I can see great. It took quite a while to get an appointment to see him, and now I can understand. Everyone in Arizona wants to see Dr. Cohen, he is super friendly, kind, and most importantly incredibly talented. I've had blurry and double vision just getting worse every year. He took the time to listen to my concerns and corrected my eye problems without any trouble. He has a great bedside manner and communicates in a way I could understand everything about my problem and how to make it better. His office and his staff are very professional and tops. Dr Cohen's name was recommended to me at least 3 different times for being "ONE of the Best Eye Surgeons in Tucson." I am always a bit skeptical of the reviews I read online, one from 2012 says Dr Cohen is great, but his staff is not - I did not find that to be the case at all, just the opposite. I am so happy I chose to see him. Dr… Cohen is worth the wait.

I Have Never Met Such A Caring, Understanding Doctor Dr. Cohen Will Take His Time To Sit And Listen To Your Problem That Is Concerning You He Will Give You A thorough Examination And Sit And Explain What Needs To Be Done. I Had Been To Many Ophthalmology, Doctor's Had Different Surgery's For My Cornea, I Got An Appointment With Doctor Cohen He Gave Me Thorough Examination And Knew What He Needed To Do For Me. He Operated On My Cornea Through His Hand's And God Flowing Through His Hand's He Fixed My Problem,I Will Alway's Be Greatful! My mom had an follow up appointment with him, she asked some questions about her surgery (in a friendly manner) next thing, He asked her to go to the front desk, talk to the receptionist (ignoring my mom the whole time) turn around and leaves than says “Bye Carmen” .. my mom thought they were cool so she replies Bye and Thank you.. then he come back and said “I WANT OUT OF MY OFFICE OR I WILL CALL THE POLICE”... for whaat reason?? Cuz she asked some questions about his job?? ARE FU*^{^^} KIDDING ME?... this is not fair, very unprofessional, disrespectful! My mom is a 69 years old lady! And she is paying for her sugery and appointments! No reason to be like this to anyone!! He’s very arrogant and think he is the sh***! NEVER AGAIN!!

This Dr. Is excellent. We have been going to his practice for about 10 years. Nothing but great care, ; the office staff is fabulous as well. We have referred snowbirds to his office. They like him maybe more than we do.

An excellent physician who is continually learning about new developments in ophthalmology and trying new products and lenses.

I have known Dr. Cohen for over 10 years. I trust him implicitly. He recommended that I wait to have surgery with my cataracts until my vision had finally gotten to a point where my eyeglasses were not helping me enough, I needed cataract surgery. Dr Cohen reviewed the procedure with me and answered all of my questions. He also spoke about the different types of intraocular lens choices that were right for me and let me decide what type of vision I wanted with my surgeries. Because Dr Cohen is thorough, and is the smartest doctor I have ever known in my 68 years, I felt confident that I was making the best decision for my eyes with him. After his staff helps with measurements , Dr Cohen sat down and listened to every single question and answered all of them with great knowledge. Dr Cohen has very skilled hands and is known to be the one of the best eye surgeons in Arizona. I HIGHLY recommend this doctor to anyone considering eye surgery. My vision is now Outstanding, and I… can see great in the distance and can read without any glasses. The Multifocal lens that I have in my eyes works great and I am so happy with my eyes and Dr. Cohen for taking excellent care of me
