Dr. Steven Michael Deming

Steven Deming, DDS
Steve Deming was born and raised in Oregon. More specifically, born on Cornell Road in Beaverton in the back seat of a Volkswagen to his parents surprise. Son of James and Elaine Deming, dentistry is in his blood. James and Elaine, now enjoying retirement, met while James was in dental school and Elaine was in dental hygiene school. James was a founding faculty member of the dental hygiene program and Portland Community College where he taught for over 30 years. After raising five children Elaine returned to dental hygiene practicing for many years in Beaverton.
Steve is a graduate of Sunset High School. While at Sunset became and Eagle Scout, competed on the diving and track and field teams, and won the state pole vault championship. He sandwiched two junior college national pole vault championships competing for Ricks College around two years of missionary service in Spain. He finished his collegiate career at Idaho State with two conference championships, …bachelors and masters degrees . He continued pole vaulting after college with three top ten finishes at the USA Championships and was an Olympic Trials Qualifier. His all time best was 18′ 4.5″. He went on to the University of Oklahoma where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.
Currently, a father of four, Steve practices dentistry in Dallas, Oregon. He has pursued additional training in the surgical placement of dental implants and orthodontic tooth straightening system know as Invisalign which allows one to achieve straight teeth without braces. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, practicing their weekly spelling words, and volunteering as a Cub Scout Cub Master.
