Takes all the time you need. Answers questions thoroughly with research to back it up. A real person who shows compassion and empathy. Truly a blessing to have this level of rheumatology experience in small town, Montana.

Dr. Ekland is a excellent dr. He takes the time to figure out what is wrong and the best way of helping the person

My visit was in Anaconda. Dr Ecklund took a lot of time to listen to my problems. He asked a lot of questions and seemed sincerely interested with my condition. He suspected I had a certain problem and as it turns out he was correct (which a lot of other doctors had failed to diagnose correctly). I am very impressed with Dr Ecklund and would highly recommend him.

He was the best

Dr. Ecklund is refreshing. He is a rheumatologist who wants to take the time to get to know his patients, learn their issues, and do his best to make things better-- even when there is no easy answer. Even though I don't have a specific diagnosis, Dr. Ecklund sticks with me and is smart and thoughtful about what next steps to take. I trust him, and I recommend him very highly, especially to those with complicated or undiagnosed autoimmune issues.

I can't begin to describe my total disappointment in Dr. Ecklund. When he finally entered the room (first visit), he wouldn't look at me. He had had all my records to look over and yet clearly hadn't, so he began, while I sat there. Occasionally, he'd ask me a question in a hurried way, and when I would start to answer or explain something, he would interrupt me and not let me finish. His attitude bordered on RUDE. He was condescendingI couldn't wait to get out of there and have never gone back, which means travelling quite a distance to see a rheumatologist.

Dr. Ecklund was one of the most intelligent, kind, thorough, open-minded yet knowledgeable doctors I've known. He helped me a great deal in determining my diagnoses and appropriate treatments and took time to research on his own. I miss him - unfortunately, he is no longer in Idaho.

Dr. Ecklund evaluated a thyroid/Hashimoto's condition and was extremely thorough, polite, intelligent, and overtly competent. I thought I was in a different city for a while. He's truly well-educated and apparently continues his own education. Most highly recommend.
