Dr. Steven Anthony Elig, MD

I was a single mother in my late 30's when I first met Dr. Elig. I had been to many therapists in the past and was ready to throw in the towel because all the past terapists wanted to do was empathize, tell me it was okay and try and make me feel better. I didn't want to be pacified, I wanted to face my issues, be accountable for them and I wanted to finally move on. Lucky for me, maybe not for Dr. Elig, cause he definitely earned his pay with me, I gave therapy one more try.When I began, I was feeling terribly alone, as if I were floating on a raft in the middle of the ocean with no land in sight. I was exhausted. Life had not offered me the pleasurable gifts disney had promised. It sucked!After many years, and yes, it does take many relentless, brain racking, tireless years, of working with Dr. Elig, I have found an inner peace and self-love I never imagined possible. Instead of looking to others to find happiness, I look to myself and relieved others of my self defeating… insecurities. The change that has occurred is immense. I have grown out of childlike expectations and accepted the responsibilities of an adult! This process, singlehandedly, has improved my relationship with my son, with my Ex, with my family, with friends and in career interactions. I have confidence, honor, excitement and balance in my daily life!I am so grateful for the time, effort, diligence and the special care I was given by Dr. Elig. I wish more people would choose an experience that has the potential to create positive results! I finally understand why my life is worth living! What could be more special than that! Dr. Elig is warm and engaging. He is also incredibly smart. I always got the feeling that I was working with a highly trained, knowledgeable professional who offered valuable insight. He took my concerns seriously and helped me understand myself and my conflicts in a comprehensive way enabling me to make valuable and much needed changes in my life.

This doctor is caring, intelligent and truly has concern for his patient's success and growth. He is always available and makes referrals when he feels it will benefit the patient.
