Dr. Steven Jesus Garcia, MD

Dr. Garcia is an amazing doctor and really understands his patients. The front desk greets every person with a huge smile and he is so down to earth and easy to talk to! He's the best!

Excellent doctor, he was very thorough and addressed all of my questions. He spent the right amount of time to prescribe the appropriate treatments and to refer me to the appropriate specialists for my needs. Friendly, knowledgeable, caring. My one issue was with the wait time at the Hoboken University Medical Center before getting to see him. The first girl at the desk was not very helpful in explaining the procedure for my first visit (where to sit, when to fill out paperwork, etc), and then for some reason did not put my name in to be called to fill out the paperwork. An hour later I went back and spoke with someone else who saw that I was not put on the list even though I signed in and gave the girl all of my information when I arrived. He did go out of his way to promptly help me and to expedite getting me where I needed to go. He was very friendly and helpful, and the nurse who helped me afterwards was also very friendly and helpful. So, I will summarize by saying that the wait… time was unreasonably long, but it no doubt would have been a bit shorter had I been luckier with the first front desk girl. However, once I got in to see the doctor it was a very pleasant experience and he went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed. He also did take his time with me so I didn't feel rushed, and perhaps that level of care did factor into wait times. All-in-all it was worth it and I will continue with this doctor.

Great GP, Great Doctor. Smart. Nice. Caring. Basically everything a doctor should be.
