Dr. Steven Irwin Gelber, MD

He had no answers for me. Basically told me there's nothing to worry about. And keep in mind i NEVER go to the doctor unless something is really bad or concerning. And what was more concerning was when he said "well i don't know what to tell you, i don't have answers. Some people just have to take ibroprofen everyday" He is not a people-person. I sensed he was annoyed with my questions.

I just read a negative review of Dr. Gelber and cannot believe the person visited the same doctor. Dr. Gelber has been my doctor for several years. Prior to Kaiser, I saw a specialist with Blue Shield who discounted my symptoms such that I felt like a hypochondriac. Dr. Gelber listened to me attentively and insisted I have a procedure to investigate my signs and symptoms. Just today I received an unprompted call from his office to schedule a check in appointment with him. I appreciate his follow up, as I am still sensitive from my experience with the Blue Shield doctor. I recommend Dr. Gelber highly. In my experience, he comes across calm and competent, never flashy or self absorbed.

Horrible bedside manner. Rude, argumentative, insulting and a clock watcher. I complained of suspect moles and he never inspected them, I have heart disease and he didn't listen to my heart, I have lung disease and he didn't listen to my lungs/breath. He did absolutely nothing for me and he has ruined my first experience at Kaiser. I'll never go back which no doubt pleases Dr. Gelber. He is less than worthless.
