Dr. Steven Thomas Greenhaw, MD

Dr. Greenhaw has been seeing my family for our ophthalmic care for the past 23 years. He has always been very thorough and patient while examining my children and myself, taking the time to explain things carefully and in a way that we could understand. When my parents and grandparents required surgery for their cataracts, I did not hesitate to refer them to him, with them all having wonderful results! While I know that things can sometimes become very busy and stressful in a physician's office, he has never compromised his medicine or the care he provides us. As far as the above review from someone who called Dr. Greenhaw "unprofessional", some of the responsibility has to fall on the parent for their child's behavior. I agree that going to a doctor can be frightening to a child, but if the examination was truly important to the youngster's health and welfare then maybe more should have been done on the ptarent's part to prepare her for the experience. The kindness of his very… friendly staff and his knowledge of medicine allow me to have complete confidence in the care we receive. We can honestly say we are all VERY pleased with our experience at his office.

My 3 year old daughter loves Dr. Greenhaw. She needed a checking before starting preschool and I couldn't be happier. My family and I have been seeing him for several years and am glad to know that we will continue on as my daughter ages.

Took my daughter in to be checked for a condition dealing with her eyes. She is young and wasn't willing to cooperate because she was scared. He took little time in trying to get her to cooperate and acted as if she wasn't important. He made it clear that he had over 40 patients to deal with and was on call which is not very professional of him. Then he automatically made us reschedule. You just can't act that way with kids. If you know you can't handle them then don't accept kids as patients. My daughters eyes were dilated and hurting.

I've been seeing Dr. Greenhaw for 15 yrs - I am Type 1 diabetic and he is always honest and complete with his exams and explanations for me.
