Dr. Steven Alan Gross, MD

I've been a patient of this Dr. for quite a few years.. Don't ask me why as it's definitely not for his demeanor.. He is very abrupt rude, ill mannered & has no patience what so ever.He really should retire.. The office is outdated not only in equipment & expertise but really needs some TLC.. The staff I truly believe is what has kept me around as they are top notch & are a real buffer for he & his partner Dr. Pitt who won't win any popularity contest's either.. If you have a choice, choose another Dr. One who will make you feel like you matter & won't treat you like a $$$ sign.. That will listen to you & show you some empathy..I am finally going to find another Dr, myself as I'm tired of his attitude.. I don't really know how they keep anyone on staff there unless they, the Dr's pay them a good wage which I would really question.

This Dr is cranky and will not allow a patient to speak. He asks questions, then rudely interrupts mid sentence and finishes for you, even though it has nothing to do with what you were going to say. He also doesn't know what he is talking about and is incompetent. We asked what causes palpitations and his answer was "I don't know, I am just a general cardiologist." Are you serious? You mean I know more off of WebMD than this supposed 'specialist'? The man is mean, disrespectful and talks down to the patient. He has no patience and will yell at you if you do not answer his questions quicker than a half a second. He also treats his staff horribly. Run as far as you can and get your primary to request another.

My experience with this doctor was nothing short of a nightmare. He was totally incompetent . As my insurance only covered Dr. Gross I continued to go to office visits, telling him how very bad I was feeling. Keeping a log of B.P. dizziness, etc. I was losing weight rapidly and asked for his help. I received no help. I wound up rushed to emergency with stage 3 heart failure. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful doctor operate on me. I'm sure Dr. Gross would have let me die. Please avoid this man.

I went to this Dr. to have my heart checked. My insurance picked the Dr. so I had no say in who I was going to see. The Dr. didn't check my heart or ask any questions regarding family history. This doctor was more interested in interrogating me, asking the same question over and over again trying to get me to change my answer. I would not recommend Gross to anyone.

My 80 year old mother was 10 minutes late for her first appointment with Dr. Gross and told to reschedule. 10 minutes? Do they realize how difficult it is to get an elderly person ready for a doctor appointment? Plus, I had to take time off my job to be there. Apparently our time isn't as valuable as his is. In addition, a new appointment would have taken another month to schedule. They would not even consider working her in. I asked to speak to the doctor, and he refused to speak to us. Apparently, his patients aren't worthy of his presence. Needless to say, we will not be going back to this doctor who is not only unprofessional, unsympathetic, and arrogant, but a coward, too.
