Dr. Steven Arthur Hemmerdinger, MD

After suffering 4 months with a sinus infection, seeing 3 providers and using 3 rounds of ineffective antibiotics, my primary ordered a CAT scan. I sought care from Dr. Hemmerdinger. By simoly viewing the CAT scan he diagnosed a bad tooth. Dr. H. Prescribed an effective antibiotic, I had the tooth extracted and within a week I felt great. Dr. H. Followed up with me personally by email while I had the dental work performed. On follow up Dr. H. Scoped my nostril and the long standing infection had cleared. He was a greatvlistened, didn't rush me out of the office, was very kind and most of all very knowledgeable. He gave me excellent advice on keeping my sinuses healthy. An overall great medical experience. I recommend Dr. H. without hesitation.

I had trouble breathing and heavy snoring for years, I have seen Dr. Hemmerdinger in Ardsley office. He scoped my nose and explained clearly what the problem is; mainly my inferior turbinates were much larger than normal though my septum with minimally deviated, he didn't push me for surgery and tried medical management one last time. As a physician myself I have tried medical management for years, still in vain. I saw him again in 2 months and we discussed the surgical option, he explained throughly what to expect from the surgery and how it will be during and after recovery in details, he addressed all my questions and concerns professionally. It has been a month since surgery "Septoplasty and inferior turbinectomy" and I can tell the significant difference before and after surgery; my breathing has significantly improved, that was evident on the 1st day I got the nasal stents out in his office after a week in recovery, besides my snoring is significantly better, and improving with… more time into recovery. I'm overall a satisfied patient and happy with the surgery results. As a patient & physician as well, I do appreciate dr. Hemmerdinger's knowledge, skills, expertise and practicality, I'd definitely recommend him to any of my family or friends if an ENT surgeon is needed.

Just saw him. What a horrible doctor. Rude, dismissive and not personable at all. No sense of humor and acts like you're wasting his time. Not kind or professional. Wasted my time and a $50 co-pay for a barely five or ten minute visit to be told that nothing could be done for me except to check if I had any hearing loss. He wasn't even nice about it. When I questioned things for clarity, he almost seemed defensive. Then he just said what he had to say to me and abruptly walked out of the room. No goodbye, nice to meet you or sorry I couldn't help you. He really shouldn't be a doctor since he doesn't know how to treat people. I guess the ones that have him a good review caught him on a good day. Meh.

A talented young physician who got the job done and explained things very well, but did not visit after the surgery to go over the plan and answer questions that the nurses couldn't answer. I thought it was rude and unprofessional.

I have been seeing Dr Hemmerdinger for several years. I find him to be an excellent doctor who takes the time to explain things and treat you as a person. He has given me excellent treatment for earaches and other issues. I also find his staff to be courteous and professional. Very nice people. I once showed up at the office with an earache and no appointment and saw him in about 30 minutes. Usually very short wait. Great doctor

Hemmerdinger belongs in a jail cell. A complete fraud. He altered my medical records, fraudently billed my insurance company, lied to the State of NY which was investigating a complaint against him--- and certainly must have paid someone to take his Boards, as he's a complete incompetent, a moron, and a total idiot. He could not answer question after question I posed to him except "I don't know..." I believe his nickname is Dr. I Don't Know, no joke. He stood six feet from me, never checked me over --- yet composed a medical chart stating that he gave me a thorough examination (after the insurance company investigated him). He's unethical, he's criminaL He deserves a nice cozy jail cell. Avoid this fraudster. It's just a matter of time before he's incarcerated or has that phoney medical license revoked.

DR. Hemmerdinger did my daughter's surgery with compassion and knowledge!! After years of Streep throat he finally helped.

I had seen Dr. Hemmerdinger in the Poughkeepsie office at MidHudson Regional Hospital. He was very thorough and attentive with the issue I was seeing him for at my visit. He also was very clear with instructions to help me with my problem. I highly recommend Dr. Hemmerdinger!

I saw Dr Hemmerdinger for a problem with sleep apnea. He was understanding and informative. He conducted a thorough exam and recommended a sleep study. He answered all my questions clearly and I like that he speaks loudly because I also have a hearing problem, which he also addressed.

I saw Dr. H in the Pomona office today! His staff was so nice. His nurse was so nice and spoke clearly so that I could understand her. I’m hard of hearing so that really helped. Dr. H is so nice and gentle. I will recommend all of my family and friends to see him.
