Dr. Steven P Horvitz, DO

I wanted a physician that would help me get healthier using alternative approach, but also have the conventional medical background to use if needed. He listens, and works with you to achieve your health goals. He seems to stay abreast of the latest research and makes himself available when needed. I don't have to wait long to see him for my scheduled appointments. I would recommend him to others, who don't want the first response to be prescription.

For my $800 upfront fee, I got maybe two visits. Dr. Horvitz quickly referred me to a specialist, off-premises and not a related practice, where I was treated to the usual doctor office sitting around and mass treatment that I had paid to avoid. Dr. Horvitz basically acted as a gatekeeper doctor, where you get screened, told 'you need a specialist for that,' and sent on your way, just like any ordinary General Practitioner might do today. The concept of concierge medicine is very good, but not with this particular doctor.

Was left to scramble to get prescriptions meds as a result of the change.

When you are sick he is there for you. He and his staff are the best. Seeing you right away is there number one concern.

Dr. Horvitz is that rare find... a doctor who has solid medical expertise, a true interest in preventive care, is a skilled communicator and listener, has a lovely, easygoing bedside manner and also a great sense of humor.
