Dr. Steven P Lisser, MD

He might be rated a good surgeon, but if you value good bedside manner, answering all your questions, and making you feel at ease, this is not your doctor. During my office visit and also before my carpal tunnel surgery, I found him to be curt and rude. He didn’t even see me after my surgery to tell me if everything went welI. Cannot recommend him

I went to see Dr. Lissser for pain in my wrist, I asked if the bone at the end of my forearm was the culprit and he suggested a partial ulna removal that would eliminate the pain and arthritis inflammation, I agreed. After surgery my pinkey would not come down, I have major instability in my wrist due to this idiot, It remained that way for 6 months after he recommended physical therapy which almost broke my pinkey whith the theropist trying to bend it down to strech the tendon that was already ruptured due to the surgery. When I contacted him again he rushed my off with an explanation that more physical therapy was needed. I fired him and went to another surgeon only to find out that the pinkey tendon had been severed and this required another surgery to correct and tether another tendon to my pinkey so it wouldn't bend again. This guy Lessser rushes through everyone, never did a follow up to find out how i was or if the pinkey came down,,hes a terrible surgeon, age does not… equal skill.

Very disappointed with this physician. His receptionist staff appear as if they are annoyed at having to speak with patients. Wait time for a nerve test was over an hour. If you are looking for a doctor with a good "bedside manner," it is not Dr. Lisser. He spends the least amount of time explaining things, becomes arrogant when asked questions, and you are left feeling rushed and not sure of exactly what happened. Not a good experience and certainly not someone I would feel comfortable performing surgery on me.

Dr Lisser is the best ! After several bad experiences with other physicians in the area my shoulder is finally feeling great.

This individual is useless. I can not even call him a professional doctor. I went to him on the recommendation of the ER staff at Riverview Medical Center, biggest MISTAKE of my life. He is unprofessional, rude, does not listen and did not correct my broken wrist. After later going to a professional in central NJ; I was told by a professional that I should have had surgery. Now I am stuck with a maluion/deformed wrist. Thanks to this unprofessional. RUN, RUN, as far away from this unprofessional.

I've received Services from this doctor's office and they strive to do the bare minimum for a patient. Not an extra minute spent to answer a question or be empathetic/accommodating or talk to you about wound care or side effects. It's all about in, do the bare minimum necessary and push you out. If you want mediocre here's the place to go but if you want a doctor and staff that actually care about great surgery +post Ops service look elsewhere.

As a patient of recent surgery, recovering just approx. 3 weeks now, I find Dr. Lisser is a very good surgeon and over all caring medical professional. Highly Recommend.

Dr.Lisser was very professional but took time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. Had rotator cuff surgery (major tear) and had great success in my recovery and regaining use of my shoulder.

one of the top three doctors i have ever received treatment from, i had successful shoulder surgery as had a couple of my tennis buddies and we are all back on the courts
