Dr. Steven Jebum Ma, MD

Dr. Ma knew I was on Medicare. I went to him because my old Doc retired. Being on a fixed income it was critical that the new Doctor took Medicare. Ma was on a list of four. I am 78 years old. He questioned my religious beliefs, forced me to watch a video and I got sent a $186 (after Medicare paid a percentage) bill. What does the Hippocratic Oath have to do with religion?

Dr Ma is a GREAT MD. I’m not going to take that from him. However, he is NOT considerate of his patients time. If my appointment is at 1pm I expect to be in the back by at least 115-130. NOPE!!! A normal office visit is a MINIMUM of 2hrs on a GOOD day. So don’t plan to do anything else that day. My last appointment was at 1115 I didn’t see the doc until 1230 and didn’t leave until who knows when lol. He even has a sign on his door that says “Please feel free to take a nap while you wait for Dr MA”

Dr.Ma has been my primary physician for three years now. Without a doubt the most thorough and caring physician I have ever encountered. You want to be rushed through your medical needs head up the hill and join Kaiser Permanente. In and out like cattle at a slaughter house. When you find a doctor that is willing to spend 30-45 minutes one on one with you, addressing your needs and not the clocks, you have a winner.

He is over booked. Years worth sitting here. Bill's insurance for double appointment because we have to wait for him. States "long appointment" pill pusher.

I have been seeing Dr Ma going on 5 yrs. He is kind, caring and very thorough with his assessments. You don’t feel like he is rushing you to get to the next appointment. He has an excellent team there to assist him.

I have had 9 appointments with this doctor. He was never less than an hour PAST my scheduled appointment. On 4 occasions I was in his office for 3 hours past my scheduled appointment! Once I got the 1st appointment for the day (7:45 am) and he still did not see me until 9:00 am! There were no other patients and he was in the office speaking with a drug rep! To make matters even worse when you're sick you can not get an appointment to be seen for 2 or 3 days! He will not refill medications UNLESS you see him every 3 months so you're forced to sit in his office for hours if you take any kind of maintenance medication. He is a nice man BUT has complete disregard for his patients and their schedule. If you have any type of schedule you need to keep or if you see people who are always late as being disrespectful and rude this is NOT the doctor you want to see.

I lost my long time doctor and it took forever finding one that I could or even wanted to review. I have to even travel over an hour to and from Dr. Ma, but don't hesitate, no matter what. He listens and always takes my questions with complete attention. He is the most caring, comprehensive and extensive in his searching for solutions to any issues I have ever had. Any wait times will be returned with his complete attention and thoroughness to your own needs and concerns. He has discovered and found MANY answers to my issues through testing and solutions proven to my benefit. His staff is a delight no matter how rushed they are. I truly feel like they're all family and wouldn't consider going anywhere else unless he specifies a specialist. Truly a blessing for me. My wait times are never an issue as I arrange early appointments, but if ever I have to come later, I just bring reading material and know it's well worth the wait. I also like the fact that I can call from home anytime with… any questions or concerns and will be attended to within the same day.

I have been a patient of Dr. Steven Ma for over the past 14 years; he is extremely effective and efficient as a Primary Care Family Practitioner. It may take a few extra minutes to actually see Dr. Ma for an annual checkup or routine, yet it is well worth the wait because of the exceptional quality care he gives to each of his patients.

Dr.Ma is very friendly, and will listen to you.only one staff member is nice the other needs to work some where else,

He keeps you coming back for follow-up appointments.
