Dr. Steven Lynn Mackey, MD

Front desk staff discussed patient information where everyone in waiting area could hear. Dr. Mackey was rude, made no attempt to listen to me, when I told the nurse what he would not listen to dr Mackey got mad and purposely hurt me during the skin procedure he did for me, front desk staff was rude checking me out too. Overall horrible experience.

Dr Mackey diagnosed my issue hs and started the treatments...when in a major flair up he drained it to provide relief. Thank you Dr Mackey.

My daughter had an appointment recently with Dr. Mackey at his Montgomery office. The office was packed first thing in the morning and the office staff was difficult from the time we got there. She would not except a copy of my daughters primary insurance saying it was "against the law to not have the original to copy". I run an office myself & no this is not true. If this is their office policy that would have been understood if she was courteous about it. I even had proof of her benefits and that was unacceptable. We ended up walking out of the office and never even saw Dr. Mackey.

My 12-year-old son and I both went to see Dr. Mackey for the first time today. The waiting room was packed at 8:30 in the morning. Obviously over-booked. As I was there to establish with a dermatologist and have a strong family history for skin cancers, I fully expected to be examined - and examined separately from my son. Instead, we were kept in the room together (I would have liked to have been able to speak openly without my son in the room), barely asked any family history (never had a chance to tell them I have lupus), and no one ever examined us (we stayed fully dressed). We actually saw Dr. Mackey for less than 60 seconds total - and I am not exaggerating. He was obviously too busy to see us. He had his nurse remove a couple of moles off my son's neck/shoulder area - and she didn't even have him take his shirt off for that - she just stretched the neck of the shirt out. I work in the medical field myself - and this was definitely a sub-par clinic.

Dr. Mackey listened to what I had to say, and he was very prompt on getting the medications to me that I needed. He showed interest in my concerns and was very respectful and prefessional.
