Dr. Steven Mclaughlin, MD

When Dr. Mcglaughlin with his former group in Nashville, I was a long-term patient with knees issues. First, he’s just a good dude: friendly and he listens; you feel he’s engaged when he meets with you. Further, while I was a pretty good candidate for knee replacement, at a young age, he was in no rush to take advantage of that fact. Conversely, he helped me understand what that decision would look like and really encouraged and continued to treat me conservatively, until there really was no other option but replace both knees. However, shortly after that decision was made. He had the opportunity to take make a change that was very beneficial to him and his family and move to Kentucky. Because of that, he opted NOT to go froward with my surgery because he felt it would be unfair to me(he would be unable to assist in my recovery efforts). He could’ve very easily taken taken the money and ran...but he didn’t. He was looking out for my interest. He referred me to another physician that he… recommended and my results were great. He’s a good Dr. and good man. I hope to see him someday, down the road, just tell him...’thank you.’

I am a 59-year-old female I had a Total Hip replacement performed by Dr. McGlaughlin on Jan 14, 2020. Dr. McLaughlin impressed me the first time we met because he genuinely listened to the issues I was experiencing and actually took the time to investigate by examination to see what all that going on with me. He was confident yet compassionate as he explained what was going on and what he could do to fix the problem. He was very sweet to my family, accepted my son's desire to pray before surgery both for me and him. I don't recall the last time I was able to walk without discomfort and pain... until now. excellent on all plains in my book, he explains what he can do, and why he did what he did . he took extra steps to correct my problem. I cannot say enough good about Dr. McLaughlin. I wish we had more like him!

Dr Mclaughlin is a very caring dr!! He's compassionate and kind!! He takes his time with u!! He has done 4 surgeries on me. 3 shoulder surgeries and 1 on my wrist! So if u need anot orthopedic surgeon he's it!! And his assistant Kathy is great too!!!

Dr. McLaughlin has done a total knee replacement and also a total hip replacement for me in the last three years. I think he's a great doctor! He and his nurse have always answered all my questions and gone out of their way to accommodate me. I have quite a few friends that also think he's a great doctor.

I have needed several cortizone injections and I have extreme anxiety over them.Dr. McLaughlin was warm, kind and very patient with me. The shots have done wonders for my pain and mobility. He replaced my mothers hip and repaired my neighbor's bunions. Both are doing great.He is the only Orthopaedic Surgeon I can fully recommend to anyone!
