Dr. Meyer finished his spine fellowship in 2004 at Cedars-Sinai Institute for Spinal Disorders in Los Angeles. It is one of the few training programs to combine both orthopaedic and neurosurgical training in the curriculum. During that training he worked with world reknown surgeons that pioneered the field of minimally invasive spine surgery.
Dr. Meyer has a particular interest in motion preservation such as artificial disc replacement or posterior dynamic stabilization. He is well-versed in minimally invasive techniques and utilizes them in every aspect of his practice.
It is rare for a spinal condition to be a surgical emergency. When appropriate, Dr. Meyer exhausts all non-operative options prior to choosing surgery.
