I have been a patient of Dr. Steven Newman since 1997, following a closed head injury from a MVA. Dr. Newman held a class in my hospital room, discussing his hypotheses from the severity of my injury. After 12 weeks in a coma and 5.5 months in the hospital, Dr. Newman performed three eye surgeries on me to correct my skew deviation. After 22 years, My double vision is gone and I have minimal vision problems. Dr. Newman is the best in his field, and has learned through years of experience the possibilities of restoring eyesight in an individual. SO grateful for his knowledge and expertise.

I have accompanied my husband to 4 or 5 appointments with Dr. Newman in the last 3 years. Dr. Newman seems to work at one speed and one speed only/ (high)! That speed does not interfere with his knowledge, accuracy, or attention to the patient he’s with, even though he could be swinging from one exam room to the other without stopping. I’ve never felt rushed and he makes certain all questions and concerns are answered. The visits are long, and he’s dictating notes as he walks in the door (fast). He’s witty, thorough, loves his work, and is extremely good at what he does!

He burst into room without introduction or a basic query as to my symptoms/problem. Yelled into dictaphone entire time and barely engaged with me. I was so overwhelmed, I cried from stress and frustration when he left the room. He was not sweet or funny or caring or helpful. Compared to these other reviews, I think I saw an imposter.

Wait time is extremely too long. Appointment time is usually 4 + hours. Need to streamline services. Dr. Newman is worth the wait. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional and the best! I love Dr. Newman! He is very sweet and funny.

Dr. Newman took care of my sister when she had had surgery for an brain tumor. He took care of my mom until her death and he4 has taken care of me. I love this man, wish more doctors had his gift. The caring, compassionate heart.

Dr. Newman knows what to do and how to do it. He was so compassionate and caring for me. I wish there were more doctors just like him. I would recommend him to anyone. I look forward to seeing him at each visit.
