Dr Steven Papuchis

With an extensive background in osteopathic medicine and physiatry, Dr. Papuchis’ philosophy stems from a holistic approach; treating the whole patient beyond the points of pain, to improve their quality of life. He achieves this by helping the body heal itself, through rehabilitating and restoring patient’s overall function. Dr. Papuchis is driven to improve the lives of athletes, weekend warriors, and active individuals looking to regain their active lifestyle and get back in the game!

Dr. Papuchis’ medical expertise is enriched by his passion for medicine, which was inspired by his father who was a Cardiologist. His father’s impact on patients was so powerful that he uses this inspiration to build meaningful relationships with his patients.

During a patient’s initial consultation, Dr. Papuchis listens intently to understand their goals for recovery. He then works collaboratively with the patient to evaluate their environment, nutrition, and overall body system. His specialties …include acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions of the neck, back, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip/pelvis, knee, and foot/ankle, using a biomechanical approach. These non-operative care plans may include therapeutic exercise and modalities, specialized physical therapy, image-guided injections, and when necessary medication.

Through extensive sports and spine training at the #1 orthopaedics hospital in the nation, Dr. Papuchis served as team physician helping athletes with injury recovery, optimizing performance, and improving overall wellness.

Fun Fact: Dr. Papuchis always wanted to be a professional athlete. While he was unable to turn pro, he does scratch his competitive itch with golf and sprint triathlons.
