Dr. Steven Howard Rauchman, MD

I am in my late 80-s' and my eyesight was going fast. for at least a decade, Dr. Rauchman checked my eyes and finally, I had my surgery. He is a great ophthalmologist, eye surgeon and a lovely person; I recommend him to anyone who need his services.

Extremely friendly,knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to have cataract surgery . Glenda the ophthalmic tech gave me all the information I needed her knowledge made me feel I was in the right place. I will be having cataract surgery with a restore lens. Thank-you Dr rauchman and great job Glenda.

I had a great experience at Dr rauchman's office my son had a corneal ulcer and was in pain. I called and spoke with Glenda, she made it possible for my son to seen late in the afternoon on a Friday. Glenda was so caring and made son and me feel that we were her main priority .

This crowded office is so busy that it felt like I was in a train station more than in an office. Loud chattering, people on their cells, loud television and to top it off, a rude receptionist who greeted me with a half sincere "hello, please sign in and have a seat." I asked where and she said," there's one next to the Christmas tree." The seats were so close to each other that you are practically breathing on other people. I think the office should provide a more comfortable place for patients to wait. The staff should also discourage people from using their cell phones in the waiting room. The market on a busy day is so much quieter than this place.I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and waited 15 minutes (total 25 min) after my appointment to inquire how much longer I should wait. The lady sitting next to me told me she had been waiting for almost two hours. This is an elderly lady who told me that "it is like this here all the time." I know she didn't make it up because my… mother had an appointment with the same doctor two days prior and waited for two hours! I was finally called 55 minutes after I arrived and had told the medical assistant how long I have waited. She said, "I'm sorry. We have no rooms. Let's just move on." I have never encountered such an unprofessional medical practice and being a medical professional myself, I find this appalling. In this tough economy when there is a tremendous cut in reimbursement, it would behoove them to improve their customer service in order to keep their patients. I may be one patient, my mother another but I have plenty of friends and I can surely influence who they see.
