Dr. Steven Deane Segraves, MD

Initial appointment transferring when my previous doctor moved to Texas. Turned a 45-minute appointment into a ten-minute session where he cut me off to take a call with a contractor about his kitchen remodel, asked me what meds I was on, and sent me off. Needed a refill, office said I had to visit again before a refill, then said no openings for a couple of MONTHS. Going to run out of medicine well before that; they didn't care. Called again now that I'm going through withdraw (had to start self-weening b/c they _still_ can't fit me in >:( ). Nurse left a voicemail gaslighting me "you have had too many no-call, no-shows. We will not fill your prescription." Straight up lie. If I wanted to be jerked around and psychologically abused, I'd've stayed in the relationships that landed me in therapy in the first place. Give this office a hard pass.

Never followed up after prescribing meds. No offer to help after bad side effects. Never returned phone calls.

I witnessed my family member being disregarded as she called multiple times with no response. The office did not respond to the pharmacy or to insurance either. This lead to a hospitalization as she could not get the written prescription filled without phone authorization. She stuck it out for consistency, and then was ignored when calling and reaching out through the portal regarding symptoms from a new med. Because they sought to work through the problem and address the issues with the office, they were dropped from care. I do not recommend this office.

Makes it very clear that he is there to prescribe, prescribe, prescribe.

I feel like I am slipping into depression again. As I mentioned when I saw you Monday, October 16, I am having deeper "dips" than before. You also mentioned that you might have to change my medication. I would like to see you. Thank you, Carl Carpenter

Dr. Sea graves is the Bill O'Reilly of medicine. He is rude, aggressive, and thinks that his vast knowledge trumps ehatever the patient has to say. Go to someone else, seriously.

I would never visit this doctor again. He was rude and arrogant and didnâ??t seem to really care about my issues. He prescribed a drug that made me nauseous the entire time I was on it. He never once took a blood test in the six weeks I was on it, only recommended changing the dosage. I have a psychological seizure disorder and he didnâ??t even check into what could help stop the seizures only treated me for a mild depression. When I emailed a list of concerns and questions I was told, â??If you decide to stop the medication, you will not need to be seen here in follow up, as you will no longer be taking any medications, as we only provide medication management.â?? There were no responses to my questions of whether it was normal or not, nor did they recommend seeing me for further medication. One of my visits lasted less than 5 minutes and none of my questions were answered. Heâ??s a pill pusher; donâ??t go.

He is an excellent doctor who zeroes right in on the patient's problem. I would never change from him. He is wonderful.

Will never go back.

Doesn't take personality characteristics, nor psychosocial circumstances into the diagnostic equation. Too simplistic and narrow.
