I have been a patient of Dr. Shoemakers for a number of years, actually since he began with this practice. Listens to my concerns and is very thorough in explaining what testing may be necessary. Once I was cleared from Dr. Shoemaker, I had surgery at SMH in Sarasota. A cardiologist was called in to consult when an issue happened during surgery. I was taken to cardiac floor after surgery. The next day, I called Dr. Shoemaker's office, explaining what happened during surgery, and mentioned if there were any issues after surgery or medications prescribed, I wanted Dr. Shoemaker contacted for consultation and approval.

Dr Shoemaker is a fine individual who is a caring and knowledgeable doctor. He listens to what the patient has to say and orders only those tests that are necessary. I feel confident that I received the best of care.

New patient. Office squeezed him in after a blood clot event. He explained the situation and made a recommendation in a personable way and explained his rationale clearly

Dr. Shoemaker has a great “bedside manor,” very calm while asking questions & explaining the diagnosis. Spends time with you until everything has been covered.
