Dr. Steven Tsoutsouras, MD

When even 5 minutes late the receptionist yelled at me, the doctor was very impatient when I asked him questions. Was quick to shoo me out the door. Not very understanding of new mothers.

Was my three kids' Dr. beginning in 1984 through 2007. Never had any concerns or problems with either Dr. T or his staff. Always took his time, had a great sense of humor and ability to curb over-reactions. Was reachable in emergencies, and caring. Often slight delays with waiting room time, but that's the nature of the beast with sick kids.

My children have been a patient of Dr. Tsoutsouras for a while and I have come to realize that he is a doctor that cares more about getting paid than the well-being of his patients. I was charged for miscellaneous things that no other doctor would ever charge for such as school health forms. When I need a referral, the staff always argues with me because I did not give them enough notice while my own doctor hands one to me the same day I request it. There were times when my children were not even able to be seen by the Doctor personally because he was "too busy," so instead his staff would relay his advice to my children's problems over the phone. Even when the doctor did see my children personally, his diagnoses were sometimes wrong. I thought one of my children had fungus on one of his toes but Dr. Tsoutsouras told me not to worry about it. A week later, the infection had spread to my son's other toes and his toenails were falling off. When I finally switched pediatricians,… and had requested their medical records, the staff had given me attitude and told me that I would be charged for every page they needed to copy and send to the new doctor. I was highly upset about this. They were holding my children's records hostage and preventing them from receiving the best care and treatment that they deserved. I would not recommend this pediatrician to anyone who seeks a doctor who is knowledgeable in their field of work and cares about helping their patients.

I have requested my medical records from Dr. Tsoutsouras and was told that I needed to pay my $600 bill because my insurance company was taking longer than expected and they would reimburse me once they received payment from them. I paid and shortly after they received payment from my ins. co. and 2 years later not only have they refused to reimburse me but they refuse to release my children's medical records. I have no balance on my account and they owe me. I have called every day for 10 mos. and the staff was extremely rude to me. They were happy to speak with me in order to obtain payment however now that I have complied I am treated as if I OWE them money. My children have been patients there for 15 + years however the office has certainly changed (for the worse) which is why I decided to go elsewhere. The bedside manner of the staff is horrible!

I used Dr. T from 2003 - 2008 for 3 of my children from birth. He is a great Dr. He knows your children personally. He is available whenever you have an emergency. He doesn't rush you, he sits you down and talks to you after each visit to answer any questions. I moved to Florida and miss him so much. All pediatricians here are group practices you never see the same doctor twice, you are lucky if you get a Dr. mostly they are nurse practitioners or PA's I wish Dr. T could relocate to Tampa Florida

He allowed his secretary to give medical advice to me over the phone. That is why I left this practice. Don't know if he still does that
