Dr. Steven John Vilter, MD

I went in to urgent care concerned about shortness of breath and extreme fatigue, both of which are very odd for me. This doctor was dismissive, did not listen or seem to care at all about what I was telling him, loudly discussed things in the hallway with staff but barely spent any time reviewing results and talking with me. He literally didn't even bother to sit down to discuss results with me. I asked to see my CBC results and he threw (yes, he threw) my after-visit care notes at me, walked out, and brought the results back in without talking to me about why he was unconcerned. Poor care and I don't know why this person is still allowed to see patients at all, to be honest.

While the rest of the administrative staff and the nurse were extremely professional, this physician seemed ill suited to an urgent care setting. He lacked listening skills and empathy, and acted impatient and disrespectful of the reason for my visit. He acted disinterested in my medical history by not asking me questions and by cutting me off shortly after I began speaking to him. He did not help me in solving the medical issue I needed his assistance with. When I politely reintegrated the reason why I was there, he became abrupt. I don’t recommend this physician.

This doctor's breath smelled strongly of alcohol and he verged on being combative during my urgent care appointment. His ultimate diagnosis is likely right, but I nearly had to force him to provide any diagnosis at all. Do not use this urgent care location.

He makes me wait for an hour, I tell him what I need help with and he says there is nothing he can do and then walks out of the room. Then tells the nurse to kick me out of the building!
