Refused Care Because We Sought a Second Opinion: Dr. Weinfield refused to answer basic questions about my ankle injury or consider non-surgical options. When my spouse and I said we wanted a second opinion to feel more informed, we were told he wouldn’t treat me if I rescheduled — and that it was because we “didn’t trust him.” We left feeling pressured and dismissed. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone looking for respectful or thorough care.

Dr Steven Weinfeld is a horrible Orthopedic surgeon that I would not recommend to a dog. Terrible bedside matter, shows NO concern about patient needs or their concerns. Does not have a friendly demeanor and is rude as Hell. He treated me for my ankle and showed No concern when I tried to talk with him about issues that were bothering me. No empathy at all. Maybe it was the color of my skin. He talks down to you, and every visit I left is office upset because of his rudeness. I chose this doctor because of the reviews were good. Don’t believe everything you read. I’m here to tell you he nothing like his reviews. Those reviews must have been written by family and friends. Everyone should be treated with respect. I respected him, but he didn’t show me the same respect. Now after 3 months I have to find another Orthopedic doctor to finish following up on my injury. My sons told me to leave him months ago, I should have listened to them.

Dr. Weinfeld answered all my questions, very knowledgeable, quick wait time, staff at the 66th st location is friendly and helpful.

steven weinfeld operated on me about 9 years ago and i am still suffering from the 4 systemic infections i contracted due to his incompetency. he cut my foot open 3 times as he never knew how to properly remove a simple neuroma in my foot. so as of then my entire autoimmune system is thoroughly compromised.

I found Dr. Weinfeld through my internist, who is also at Mt. Sinai. I had an excellent experience in his office. His staff is very professional, and the wait time is under 30 minutes. Luckily, I don't need surgery, but Dr. Weinfeld examined my foot and took a detailed history of the injury. He advised rest and wearing a boot to immobilize the ankle. then, physical therapy. This was based on MRI results and examination. He accepts Medicare, which is something that is not common for well-known orthopedists.

Couldn't be happier with my care in this office. Kind, caring , considerate.

Really, he doesn't pay attention to patients. He was respectful and nice, but really left me with no follow up, no particular concern about my pain. Maybe because I wasnt a surgical patient.

I would highly recommend this MD. The visit was quick and efficient. He answered all My questions and treated me well.
