Dr Younger was my mom's hospitalist at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa for the last few days of her recent, 8 day hospital stay. She had four different hospitalists and Dr. Younger stood out to her, and to us, her family. The hospitalist prior to him was hurried and seemed to be more interested in name dropping and making sure that we "knew" how smart he was. When Dr. Younger came in the room, he brought fresh air with him. He wasn't hurried and took the time that my mom needed, to talk, to answer questions, and to think and work through possible solutions, and he was always cheerful. we knew he was experienced and knowledgeable but he didn't feel the need to put it on display. He even hesitated at the conclusion of our conversations to make sure there wasn't anything else. When I had questions, he always engaged the conversation and treated me with respect. She really appreciated his rare and different approach to care.
