Dr. Steven R Zollman

Our family had a terrible experience at Chief Joseph Dental Clinic. It started when I requested to turn down fluoride treatments for my children and Steven Zollman spoke down to me through his assistant (he didn't speak to me directly but through her) about my decision finally stating that if I made this choice I must acknowledge that any cavities my child gets would be "my fault". When I told him I was uncomfortable with the way the conversation was going and that I thought it was unprofessional for he to speak to me like that, he (finally speaking to me directly) told me to "get the f*** out of his office". Turning to his hygienist he thrust a finger in her direction and threatened that if he heard one more word from her she will be fired that day. And just like that he stormed out of the room and locked himself in his office. All the while my 6 year old son was sitting there listening to every word. Several of his assistants apologized profusely to us for the dentists behavior. I… would not feel comfortable referring anyone to this dentist. Please use caution.

The visit went ok. He got me in quick. He has a reasonable cash pay rate, which is why I went to him. But was put off by him telling me he was attracted to people with my body type. I don't think he was being sincere when he said that, as I am a balding 47 year old man, at 5'2" inches tall and weigh 273 lbs. I felt like he said that to make fun of me...
