Dr. Stewart Wilbur Brown

I saw DR Brown in 1989, 90. I almost lost my left hand bones, nerves,tendents,ligaments and a bad infection he did a great job putting it all back to gether several surgeries and therapy 27 years later and still no problem. I got more of my left hand then he thought i would and when doctors ask me and read what he had to repair they are amazed of the use i have I would give him a great revue.

I waited about 50-55 minutes in his waiting room, but when he came to visit me, he was quick and precise. From the short time he spent with me, I walked out better than I walked in. He was able to snap my trigger finger back into place and now I have very good mobility. Definitely will recommend him. He's a very busy man, but he's busy for a reason I guess.

Dr. Stewart Brown is the best doctor I know, I am sending patience over to see him.

I love Dr Brown. My family loves Dr Brown. I find him hilarious. You have to understand his personality and don't take him so seriously. He certainly doesn't. He saved my hands. Countless Drs failed. He succeeded. Thank you so much!

He is one the best doctor we have met. He did surgery on our daughters hand and the results were exactly they way he promised. We cannot thank him enough for great work he did on our daughters hands. He is caring and spends as much time as we need. We love this doctor and recommend him to everyone.

I first saw Dr. Brown over 8 years ago with a diagnosis of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Ulnar Nerve problems. He said it wasn't bad enough yet for sugery and was able to get it under control with steroids and therapy. During that same time I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr. Browns therapist got me through a lot during that year.

The office staff seems to always be in a rush, making various mistakes with paperwork. They didn't listen well, nor were they thorough with instructions on procedures to set up the surgery. It took longer to schedule the surgery than needed as a result. They would benefit from taking more care with the patients, listening better, and being clear and concise with pre-op instructions. Dr. Brown himself is kind, patient, thorough, and very professional. His staff should follow suit.

Dr. Brown removed a ganglion cyst from my right wrist last year. He was professional in the office visit, even though he was a bit curt. On the day of the surgery however, he was awesome. He was very kind and explained everything that was going on and did a fantastic job. I'll admit that I was a little put off by his brevity in the office visit but I gather he really is a surgeon at heart and doesn't particularly enjoy doing the runaround needed for his profession. I still think he's an amazing doctor and I'm sympathetic to the desire to be doing what you love instead of all the runaround work to get to the part you like. I would recommend this doctor to anyone but just be aware that he's a little brusque in the office.

He is rude, throws temper tantrums when things don't go his way and doesn't have the decency to introduce himself. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, even if he is great in the OR. (Which I wouldn't know because he just cancelled our surgery and stormed out!)

I am an informed medical consumer so I had questions. Each time I asked one, he looked at me like how dare I challenge him. His office is very old and appears dirty. I feel sorry for older patients who do not know to consult this website.
