Dr. Factor is a nice person. His method is "team oriented" with other Emory Physicians. The problem is that the "team" is heavily influenced by one another and change their independent assessment for the sake of political motivation. Follow the leader. Dr. Tusa is part of the team and apparently carries a lot of weight. Their diagnosis in my case was wrong and hurtful. Thank goodness the Mayo Clinic got it right. Dr. Factor is a political Physician. He gets the votes because he has a good bedside manner. I can tell you that his pleasant manner is greater than his competency. He collaborates with Dr. Tusa (dominates the team) . Read the reviews for Dr. Tusa (the reviews are overwhelmingly very negative) Neurologyr Movement Disorders at Emory Clinic is way over rated.

Scary symptoms caused me to wait quite a few months to see the famous Doctor - but it was well worth it. Very thorough neurological exam/very caring personality.

We assume that Dr. Factor is a very competent neurologist, being on the Emory staff. And, he is nice when we visit. However, the office personnel are NOT welcoming and seem very apathetic. We ALWAYS have to wait a very long time for our appt: Our last vist was for 11:00. We are always told we should be there at least 30 mins prior to our appt. So, we arrived at 10:30. The nurse took my husband's vital signs about 11:20. We didn't see Dr. Factor until noon. I can understand an occasional delay, but we have never been seen on time.

Dr. Factor is an amazing physician and human being. He has over 100 articles, and is a leader in neurology and movement disorders. I would recommend his care as a physician to anyone.

Neurological exams at Emory are not independent. The team follows the leader, right or wrong. After Emory, I went to another movement disorder clinic and was accurately and promptly diagnosed with a second PET Scan and a much more thorough examination. Dr. Factor is kind, but is more into theoretical research than he is doctoring.
