Dr. Stuart Goodman, MD, PhD

I had heard great things about Dr. Stuart Goodman from many people and now living in another state it's a drive at least four hours five with bad traffic. I don't know what the disconnect is with high ranking physicians at one of the coined best medical facilities in the nation. I was seen by Dr. Goodman my husband went with my husband doubted me when I told him that doctors like Goodman misdiagnosed me. This time my husband was speechless too which is unusual for him. I have had a long painful physical journey for about the past four years have been the worst and needed a complete hip replacement. The pain was horrific at times majorly effecting my business. Due to doctors not listening to me and the pain being debilitating I had to retire from what I do I am furious because it too me over eighteen years to build. When I saw Dr. Goodman I had told him I had been informed by previous doctors in my area I needed a hip replacement and see Dr. Goodman. I told him due to pain my business… is suffering my life is at a stand still even days I couldn't drive. Dr. Goodman took x-rays and said there was nothing wrong with the joint and bone(WRONG). He told me it was a frayed tendon. Ah, I also needed physical therapy. I told him I had done P.T. for a full year right before I saw him and it made the pain worse.I was then referred to an even worse doctor. Dr. Scott Pritzlaff run from that man if he doesn't have a quick fix he shames and blames the patient. I was also evaluated by sports medicine Dr. Mark Safran and his assistant who misdiagnosed me too.Dr. Goodman's diagnosis was completely incorrect. He told there was no need to come back because I am too young (which is an ignorant statement in it's self). He then dismissed me as well as his assistant who both were confident it was a tendon fray. This turned out to be entirely false. Went every month down to Stanford to see this doctors and a few others from Oct. 2017-May 2018. By the time May rolled around all these doctors wanted me to was go to Emeryville, CA for P.T. three times a week I was fed up. A lot of money, time and gas as well as tired wasted as well as lost business. Finally I went a great doctor where I am the first thing he asked me after viewing my MRI and x-rays taken at Stanford. He asked me, why hadn't Stanford and the head of hip surgery get me in for a replacement ASAP. I was furious. I told the current doctor I have no idea why. I pleaded with the doctors at Stanford to do the replacement. They dismissed, made me feel like I was hysterical and shamed me for being in pain and I paid for it financially. I am now recovering from a successful surgery and a competent doctor who reassured me this was a structural hip problem and it was also starting to become a bone on bone problem. Due to all the delays and doctors with no answers as well at neglect I developed major Illiopsoas tendinitis that I am getting injections try to calm it down. Needles to say I will never recommend Dr. Goodman, Dr. Safran and especially Dr. Pritzlaff ever.

He is the best

I am so thankful I found Dr. Goodman. I had hip dysplasia and my hips wore out and I needed to have them replaced at a bit younger age (57 for the left hip, 59 for the second). Before my first hip replacement I could only walk one block. He completely changed my life! He is an excellent surgeon and a warm person. Thank you Dr. G!

Dr. Goodman never came to check on my recovery. I revisited him several times to discuss the continuing pain and numbness in my foot after surgery. I was treated with great indifference . There was an error made in the hip replacement and finally after 9 years of pain I am having it DRAINED and repaired. If I could sue I would.

Dr. Goodman is the most competent and wonderful Surgeon and caring person! He has replaced both of my knees, and performed revision surgery on both of my hips! He has improved my life 100%, since his masterful surgeries have taken away my suffering from all the pain I had whenever I tried to walk... I walk and exercise without pain! I most grateful to Dr. Goodman and his team at Stanford Medical Center for restoring me to a better and rewarding life, with all the delicate surgeries he performed on me!

Dr. Goodman is very professional. I felt confident in his abilities as a surgeon and his bedside manner in both the office and the hospital was a delightful change from the norm of Drs. these days. The entire experience at Stanford Medical Center from making my first appointment to meeting each member of the team working in the operating room to the excellent care by the nurses was outstanding. I highly recommend Dr. Goodman.

Howdy Doc ! We heard you are the surgeon for one of the most influential men, in Wild Horse & Burro History . Our Hero, Mr Gordon Cowan. He needs to get" back in the saddle" asap, so please be sure his care is above and beyond any other patient .
