Dr. Stuart John Hetrick, DO

I saw Dr. Hetrick for an injection for carpal tunnel on my right wrist. He was very professional and the procedure was very quick and not painful at all. His staff was kind and professional. The check in and check out procedure was easy and efficient. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Hetrick is condescending, dismissive, not nearly as competent as he would like you to think. His staff is not much better. I speak for myself and others I know who has seen him.

Dr. Hetrick seemed to be in a rush and did not spend enough time with me in my opinion. He did not offer to shake my hand on introduction and failed to ask if I had any further questions before rushing out of his office. His P.A. Amber also seemed in a hurry to get out of the door. It would have been better overall if Dr. Hetrick had done my entire exam and not leave it up to Amber to do it and then he walk in to spend less than 5 minutes with you. I will definitely be seeming another doctor! Not impressed by Dr, Hetrick and would not recommend him to anyone!

He is very knowledgable and caring. He really went the extra mile for me and I credit him for diagnosing my multiple sclerosis quickly. The thing I would complain about is that for follow ups you always have to see his P.A, and then he can come in if you ask for him, but if he's busy it takes awhile. I wish you could make straightforward appointments with him. But....he's been such a good doctor overall I'm willing to put up with that negative.

They treated me very rudely and insinuated I was a drug addict. I now have a caring, compassionate physician who took the time to find out what was wrong with me...

I was very upset after this recent visit since I have been late twice over 20+ appointments. Instead of them telling me at the front desk of the concern, they had the physician talk to me about it. The issue when we were going to be late due to a family emergency and caught in an accident, you could not call the office since they don't answer their phones for 2 hours, how do you let them know. Even the PA seeing us did not know this. I think the way it was handled was very unprofessional and no sensitivity to bedside manner. Lets talk about my treatment and not the administrative items that should of been covered at the front desk. Was very disappointed. I think the staff needs customer centric training and review processes within the office of who delivers the message, then listen and show some sensitivity.

The staff is usually very considerate & helpful with the exception of one of your staff members. The blonde lady up-front has a tendency to be extremely rude when it comes to checking in and making payment. I have watched her on two different occasions tell a patient that they were wrong and unless they paid in full today they would not be able to see the doctor. The patient looked stunned & embarrased by the comments she made so all could hear. The patient was trying to explain she spoke with the "billing people & worked out a payment schedule" yet the staff member kept on talking not paying a bit of attention to what the patient had to say. To be fair to your staff, the blonde staff member finally did listen and let the patient continue to check in. I just felt it was necessary to let you know this as I was embarrased for the patient as she obviously had financial issues & seemed to be upfront & honest about her payments. I have never experienced any type of financial issue or… any type of issue with your staff, which is why I felt I should let you know about it. I would recommend that those types of situations be handled in privacy and not by the staff person currently handling it. Thank you for reading this & please understand you have a great staff & perhaps this was just a one-time issue.

I met with Dr. Hetrick and a nurse practitioner, Susan, for my first appt regarding daily migraine headaches. Dr. Hetrick presented several different treatment options we could try and I proceeded to try several of them in subsequent appts with Susan. I have been very happy with the treatment I have received there. This office has the most comprehensive range of treatments of the several neurologists I have been to in Phoenix over the last 10 years. I highly recommend them, it is not hard to get appointments, and they know what they are doing!

This doctor and those in his practice have been proactive in managing my care, they are willing to do in-office IVs for migraine pain, and they are willing to explore new methods of treatment. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
