Dr. Smith is kind, caring, personable, professional. He listened to my concerns & addressed each one. I never felt rushed...he wanted what was best for me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Stuart Smith for almost 14 years. I was born with a dislocated hip. I had surgeries at a young age but it was not successful. I sought various orthopedics to correct my condition. Dr. Smith was the first and only orthopedic that said he could help me with a total hip replacement which I had at 41 yrs old and still doing great at 55 yrs old. Since the surgery, my gait is without a limp and without pain. I am forever grateful to Dr. Smith.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear from Dr. Smith that he felt I was a better candidate for a knee gel injection instead of knee replacement at this time. I really appreciate a doctor that's not in a big hurry to do surgery.

I can not say enough about Dr Stuart Smith and his staff. I am 71 years old and had double knee replacement. At day 22, I have no swelling, climb stairs and have no walker or assistance. It has been a journey but I would do it again. You have to follow Dr Smith directions. Therapy is brutal but necessary. Yes, there was pain as is expected. I agree that the entire process from diagnosis, to hospital, home and followup has run like a well oiled machine. Thank you Dr Smith. TOA staff and St Thomas Mid Town for making my surgery experience acceptable and recommendable.
