Dr. Stuart Alan Sobel, MD

Dr. Sobel is hands down the best dermatologist in South Florida. Deeply experienced and knowledgeable, caring, and will take as much time as you need to answer all questions and do a thorough examination. The flip side is what some other users have posted...that your 11am appointment is in reality a 2pm appointment. However, the staff has a dedicated line to give you an update as to what time your appointment will be. Well you can't have your cake and eat it too, you can't expect a Dr. to go the extra mile with patients and then be on time with everybody. If you want the best, this is a tradeoff well worth accepting. If you want a Dr. who tries to get you in and out, but keeps to appointment times, then Dr. Sobel isn't for you.

Dr Sobel is kind and caring ,very meticulous in screening for skin cancer...excellent staff and overall patient care!

Appointments mean nothing to this doctor and his staff. Suffering from other medical issues it can be impossible to time medications and stay away from home for more than an hour or two at a time. After making an appointment and arriving early, was forced to wait more than an hour and a half before having to leave because i could not stay any longer, due to shaking and pain of Parkinson’s. They are aware of my condition and still made no accommodations to see me in a timely manner. Had to leave without seeing the doctor. Have been a patient for years and this waiting has been an ongoing problem.

Have no idea why he can't even get close to keeping appointment time. He must overbook to the limit. Had an appointment today at 11:45 AM but called ahead and was told I would have to wait until 2:45 to see the doctor. At 2 I called again and was told they could not give me an estimate as to how long I would have to wait. Who is this guy who thinks he can treat patients this way? Don't care if he is a good or bad doc...he should learn how to run a practice!

Horrible! They do not honor appointments. Refuse to take you at your scheduled time. Receptionist is rude. No communication. Find another doctor.

It is not easy to find an appointment because he is such a wonderful human being and professional that everybody wants to see him. Nevertheless, if you have an emergency the kind staff sees the way to make you see the doctor.

Dr. Sobel is excellent! After going to multiple dermatologists for my psoriasis, he was highly recommended by a good friend. My first appointment was about 3 weeks out from the time I made it, but I am so glad I waited. I have been going to him for about 10 years now and will never go to anyone else (if I have a choice). I always say that you can tell how good a doctor is by the waiting room mood and conversation. I've never heard one negative comment about Dr. Sobel in the waiting room or sensed that his patients are unhappy. He is always professional, caring and smiling. He obviously enjoys what he does and always makes me feel like my time is important to him. His staff are all very pleasant, as well. He often runs behind during the day, so he has his patients call ahead of time to find out how he is running. By doing this, I have not waited more than 10-15 minutes for him once I get to the office. Dr. Sobel is one in a million. I would recommend him to ANYONE! You will not be… disappointed. :D
