Dr. Stuart Laurence Triester, MD

I initially met with Dr. Triester's PA to consult regarding an endoscopy that a radiologist suggested in my CT Calcium Score report. the PA appeared disheveled and nervous when she initially walked into my exam room and after I asked her if she had reviewed the CT Calcium Score report she said yes and started talking about the facts surrounding my prior 2018 esophogram, wherein I politely interrupted her and told her the history. I then requisitioned her about whether she had in her possession the CT Calcium Score report and she said yes, so after I asked for a copy, and I suggested she might be confused, she still did not hear what I was saying, it was only after I asked for a copy of the CT Calcium Score report (which she needed to retrieve from SMIL portal) that she eventually came to understand the true facts of the case. This interaction took approx. 10 minutes, and was very frustrating. She thereafter calmed down a bit and was very friendly, but when talking with me about the… procedure she used technical terms and continued to talk nervously and rapidly so it was impossible to understand much of what she was saying. Front office was friendly but in disarray and the person helping me was helpful but was new and had not even been properly trained yet in billing – I was a self pay so I needed to pay at time of service according to the agreement that I previously signed when I initially walked into the appointment. The office said it may take up to a week for Honor scheduling to contact me to arrange a day for the EGD, so I waited approx. 4 days and tried to call – and I could only get ahold of Dr. Triester’s office not the Honor EGD scheduling department, and she was moderately rude as well. During that conversation I thought that because every step of the way there were alarms and red flags going off that this was not the right provider for me. Even though Dr. Triester may be a very competent doctor, it appears that Honor is creating an environment to overleverage him as an asset – with significantly inferior staff. I felt like I needed to run for my life, literally! Very sad because Dr. Triester performed my esophogram in 2018 and he was my GI doc. So I called my PCP and requested another referral – I was able to immediately get an appointment with the actual doctor (not a PA) and have already scheduled the EGD. This new doctor is awesome: highly competent, awesome staff/front office, much less bureaucracy – I can actually call in and talk with a person who knows real time the doctor’s procedure schedule – beautiful experience so far. Completely opposite to my experience with Dr. Triester’s staff and Honor.

While out of town I had abdominal issues. Dr Treister personally called me back promptly providing counseling and specific actions to take. His staff was equally responsive in finding local devices and scheduling follow up office visits. End result is I recovered thanks to Dr Treister and his professional staff. Nice.

Listens, Seems to have a lot of knowledge with Crohns very kind, spent a lot of time with me! I have been to several doctors over the years and feel confident I found the right physician.

Dr. Triester was not satisfied with the lab results of a bio taken of ulcers in my stomach and asked them to go back and take another look. They did and found that I had diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. I finished my Chemo and was cleared 18 weeks later using the R-CHOP regiment of chemo. Many thanks to Dr. Triester for his experience and expertise.

Actually listened to my concerns which I find is rare in a Doctor. On time for appointment, no waiting in a waiting room.

Skip him unless you have private insurance! Medicaid patients beware.

Dr. Triester is a phenomenally caring and compassionate physician

Couldn't ask for a better doctor. Very compassionate. Amazing bedside manner that even family comments on.

Dr. Trister is so caring and compassionate! He genuinely cares! I've seen a lot of doctors in my life and he is one of the best! He has an excellent bedside manner and really makes you feel comfortable! He also solved my issues when no one else could! I would recommend this doctor to anyone!
