Dr. Subrata Ghosh, MD

Several years ago, I saw this surgeon for a complex spine problem after his stellar reviews on the internet. He dismissed my concerns after 15 minutes of clinic tine. Dr. Ghosh gave me a referral to an orthopaedic surgeon upstairs who wasn't even available to see any patients. I was out of town and didn't know this surgeon's sneaky way of dumping patients. My advice is not to go here unless you want to wait over an hour in his waiting room. He is such a rude and an inconsiderate physician.

My insurance referred me to him saying that he does a surgery I need. Turns out he doesn't do the surgery but Ghosh refuses to contact my insurance and tell them doesn't do it. I cant see the Dr I want to see till he does. During my visit Ghosh told me he would write me a letter that I could send to my insurance but he didn't do it and he doesn't seem to intend to. Been waiting two weeks so far. Ghosh is holding my life hostage by refusing to tell my insurance he doesn't do the surgery I need. I will take this down when and if he finally does what I paid his office to do.

Dr. Ghosh is thorough, and precise. He does not do surgery unless it is necessary and will improve your life. He is kind, caring and actually listens to your input and values it. I would highly recommend him to anyone, he is an exceptional doctor.

I traveled out of my state in order to see this particular neurosurgeon after reading the great reviews about Dr. Ghosh. I was very disappointed and let down when seeking a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for my degenerative spine condition. I had to wait an hour while Dr. Ghosh saw his other follow-up surgical patient. This specialist only spent about 15 minutes office visit time with me answering very briefly my questions and concerns. He then tried to pass my case off to another surgeon in the same building telling me he couldn't perform back surgery which by the way is his speciality. As I was. leaving, his receptionist gave me the wrong floor and suite number to the referring doctor. My visit to this office was a waste of time.

I was not thrilled about having neck surgery, however he made me feel at ease, very confident, very personable. Easy to talk to, explained every thing he was going to do. No surprised. Would recommend him to any one who need spine surgery.
