He is the chairman of the Neuropathic Pain Council of the Neuropathy Association of America, and is a regular speaker for the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists on the topic of pain management and management of cancer pain.
Dr. Diwan is well-known for treating the most complex and challenging cases of chronic pain. Among the types of conditions he most frequently encounters are chronic pain syndromes, neuropathic pain syndromes, complex regional pain syndromes, postherpetic neuralgia, chest wall pain syndromes, back pain, neck pain, failed back surgery syndrome, and cancer related pain syndromes.
