Dr. Suetta M Baker Tenney, MD

I left her practice about a year ago and still having problems getting old records. After looking for her number to call I stumbled upon this review and was amazed and horrified that some many of the terrible comments here happened to me as well. I too was left on the exam table (exam devise inserted) for ten minutes, I too called and called for records with minimal help, Dr Tenney constantly talks about herself and so tired of hearing what new wave book she was reading, got tired of being asked to arrive ten minutes prior to my appointment only to wait in both the waiting area and exam room typically for over an hour... and more that would just sound ridiculous. I do not recommend her, or her team, at all.

After leaving me waiting in an exam room for more than an hour, this Dr sent me to the ER. Post hospitalization I called her office for 6 days asking for follow up on my stay and my diagnosis. Finally got a call on day 6 from a nurse who had no clue about my treatment plan or follow up. Horrible horrible and borderline unethical treatment. NEVER go to this practice!

My mom just passed away in a nursing home under the care of this doctor. I do not like this doctor and I think that if mom was not under her care, she would have survived granted my mom's age! The doctor encouraged this to happen! She has not even called or sent a card to me or my family. I am not liking this doctor!

I have been going to this practice for over 10 years, and the only reason was because for the majority of the time I was dealing with a Nurse Practitioner that I really liked. I first got an appointment with the NP when Dr Tenney was unable to see me for 6 months, but I was ok with that. Dr Tenney's hygiene is a big issue. Likes to hear herself talk and goes on and on about what she is currently reading - whether it has anything to do with you or not. Met with the second doctor in the practice a couple of time. But the excessive amount of pet hair on her clothes grossed me out. Finally changed doctors. Called to get my records sent. I was told it would take 30 days. My appointment was in 28 days. They said they would get them sent. Called two days before the appointment to make sure they had been processed. They had not. Was told again it takes 30 days. Had to explain, again, that I had an appointment coming up and was told with the first call that they would get it done. Called this… morning - the day of my appointment with the new doctor. They did not send the records. They reiterated they need 30 days. Does no one in the office write down that I have already called about this twice? I realize now I should have called every day until it was done. Was told it would be done within the month. I don't believe them. It does my new doctor no good to be working with me when they have none of my history.

I can not say enough bad things about her. I had severe fatigue and heaviness in my legs. I had gone to her office about four times over a six month period. She said there was nothing wrong with me. At no time was I allowed to speak with her over the phone, there was no urgency on her part to help me, meanwhile I was getting worse almost unable to walk, Finally I went to another doctor. only to find out I had progressive MS. She never called even after receiving my MRI results. I strongly recommend seeking another doctor. I would like to add that her personal care taking of herself is a little disturbing.

I was referred to Dr T for an eating disorder, being told she would be sympathetic and willing to work with me & the restrictions I have on what I will allow Dr's to do, and I will say right now that I would not recommend her to anyone with an eating disorder. I found that she plays head games, has a large ego, she left me hanging on a couple of occasions causing a lot of emotional and physical stress, and was obviously not going to respect and work around my restrictions (she was a fake and a liar regarding this). For example, I had told her I was being woken up in the middle of the night on a semi-regular basis with chest pain. She said protocol would be to do an EKG but I would have to get undressed for that (knowing that I wouldn't remove my clothing - one of my restrictions). So because I wouldn't remove my shirt, she wouldn't do the EKG so nothing was done. As I suspected & I have since found out by my current doctor that you don't have to remove your shirt to do an EKG and… I've had 2 EKGs since where they were/are able & willing to do it under my shirt. So not only did Dr. T lie but it was obvious she was faking about having any respect for me,my body, & my restrictions & was obviously not willing to work with me & around my restrictions. A couple months later, I called her back out of desperation & left a message that the chest pains were worse and there had been nights I was afraid to go back to sleep fearing I wouldn't wake up, among other symptoms. However instead of calling me back telling me to find another doctor, she left me hanging. I waited a week to hear from her while in the meantime I was still having the chest pains & didn't know what was wrong or if I would wake up the next day. On the 7th day I called back and the receptionist told me, after informing Dr T I was on the phone, that they would let her know I called. I knew at that point she blew me off, again...I never got a call back and at that point starting to consider suicide. The day after I found a great Naturopathic doctor who actually cares, provides the medical I need, and respects & is willing to work around my restrictions.

If you can get past the Dr's physical hygene issues, that's one thing. Moving onto her medical care, quick to prescribe drugs without first considering alternate paths and balancing side affects of new medicine vs. symptoms is something she is very poor at doing. Her ego is challenged quite easily and she becomes beligerent and RUDE! Would NOT recommend this doctor.

The Dr. and Nurses are fine but the gal who get the phone really is rude. I so rarely go to a doctor but this persons professionalim is in question. After waiting over a week for results of some blood work, and then asking for them, it was an absolute song and dance from her not to mention that she had the nerve to say "no news is good new" when in fact something was indeed wrong. THis woman is making me want to go to another Dr. I wonder... can the doctors know??? Also, as a professional myself, I realize how powerful a receptionist can be toward the organization and she misuses her position.

I came to this doctor for PCP care while be treated for an eating disorder, so I stayed with her even after moving 40 minutes away. Due to this, i usually need to make appointments at the end or beginning of the day as I work full time. I was called once to see if I could come in earlier as they had no patients left until me at the end of the day and they wanted to close up early. I told them i couldn't as I work and then the receptionist told me that 'maybe I should find another doctor.' I've also waited over 1 hour in the patient room waiting for test/lab results. Getting a sick appointment is very difficult... for something like conjunctivitis where it is important to get on antibiotics fast so you are no longer contagious, their first available (when calling as soon as the open) was 2:40 pm - that means you can't go in to work that day nor the next...I have also had multiple life insurance applications put on hold due to the fact it took Dr. Tenney over 6 weeks to send them my… medical records.I then decided to switch to a PCP that was closer to me and more accommodating, it took me two months to get my records released after going through their office manager and seeking legal counsel.

You may wait a bit, but worth the wait...she is amazing doctor. She takes time with you, she listens to you and she cares.... I trust her 100%...
