Dr. Suk Won Park, MD

Dr. Park is a wonderful doctor. I have not been particularly impressed with any doctors in the High Desert, but Dr. Park. He is thorough, competent, understanding and knowledgable, despite his young age. He will do everything in his power to find the right avenues of treatment for you or any family members who are also his patients. I am so glad I found Dr. Park out of the many other doctors I "tried out" before making him my primary care doctor. He has referred me to the best specialists for a various number of problems I, my husband and even our young child have had in the past. I hope that he stays in the high desert and that we don't have to travel long distances to remain his patients. He was the first doctor through Kaiser to refer me to the Bariatric Program, when no other doctor would. Because of him, I was accepted into the program, completed the criteria, had the surgery and lost 130 lbs. enabling me to have enough energy to take care of a very active child with the… pain and discomfort that go along with carrying so much weight around. He is number one in my book. Plus his staff is very efficient and kind. And Dr. Park will get back to you quickly through email or phone if need be.

I am thankful to have chosen Dr. Park. I did not want to have to drive to Fontana for my primary physician so I tried him in Victorville. He has taken everything I have told him seriously and delved into all tests to find answers. He is an awesome communicator and he cares about my health not just the $ he makes. I would refer him to anyone in the high desert.

Dr. Park has been taking care of entire family including my parents, my husband, and my children. He takes the time to explain in layman's term my parents medical problems when I accompany them. Unlike some physicians who are pushing pills, Dr. Park explains the pros and cons of being on various medications. We have been with him since 2004.

I have been with Dr. Park since he was at Kaiser Fontana. I have followed him up to see him in Victorville even though I live in Loma Linda. He was the first to diagnose my fibromyalgia and has helped me manage my daily pain.

Dr. Park has been my PCP for little over 3 years. Dr. Park is a young doctor that seems very comfortable in his profession. However, Dr. Park doesn't seem particularly interested in his patients. He doesn't seem to research a patient's medical records before they come in to find the reason(s) they are seeing him, and to provide them the best care possible. Its up to the patient to understand their condition, when they see him, and he doesn't give much more information or advice. He is easy to prescribe medications, which is sometimes a wonderful then when you feel you have a need for a medication you can't get unless prescribed, but again its almost as if the patient needs to fully educate themselves on the medications, risks, side effects, and what they do at home; because he won't tell you about them in the office. And if you simply tell him your symptoms he may or may not recognize a need for a medication, or he may find ways to explain away your symptoms or tell you why they… aren't serious concerns. As a patient you don't feel as if he is fully listening to you, even if you are clear and aren't making a mountain out of a mole hill. He has the potential to be a very good doctor, if he was more hands on and wanted to listen. At times he seems distracted, looking at his phone or answering it, or doesn't seem fully prepared for the patient he is with. I realize that because he is so young he has other things on his mind, but I'd hope the doctor I was being seen by would be focused on me and the reason I was in to see him. The waiting room was empty when I was there (arriving and leaving), but he acted as if he had much better things to do than to speak to me. He did not examinate me, he only spoke to me. In fact every time I have been in to see him, the only time he has examined me even a little, was when I was having breathing issues from a flu. I've requested physicals, and never gotten a single one. I'm not a bad patient, as I am very strict about following doctor advice, but I felt as if he had given up on me before he even saw me. For a patient that is perhaps the cruelest thing any doctor could do.
