Dr. Sukran Ergin, MD

I saw Dr. Ergin after counting down the days until my appointment. I had been referred to her by my PCP and another specialty doctor. WHen she entered, she did not even make eye contact or sit down. She completely dismissed my worries about my symptoms, and ridiculed multiple other specialties in the process. I work in psychiatry, and she fed me the wrong information about multiple psych medications, stating that those were causing my issues. She then chalked up all of my issues to "anxiety" and encouraged I "meditate and exercise". I was stunned by the arrogance, her dismissive nature and inability to actually HEAR me as a patient. I am not a crier, and I left the appointment in tears. There are a lot of good doctors out there - she is not one of them. No bedside manner and shared inaccurate information. Really dissapointing, and I know this (inaccurate information) because I am in the medical field myself.

I have never written a review before on a medical provider. However, after having a consult with this incompetent and rude individual, I had to write a review to warn patients to stay away from this so-called doctor. Sukran should not be practicing medicine. I don't understand how she passed medical school and residency. She has a terrible bedside manner! This woman does not know how to talk with patients and actually listen to their concerns. Sukran kept shaking her head while I was telling her about my symptoms! I felt extremely uncomfortable in her presence, and I should have fired her on the spot. If you are a patient, please go see someone, anyone else, besides this rude woman. You would be better off getting medical advice from a monkey that this "physician."

My overall experience has been that Dr. Ergin is intelligent, caring and forthright. She gives an overview, goes to the heart of the matter, and tells you what your options are. She also gives an honest opinion about the possibilities of an exact diagnosis.In addition, she is caring and helpful. Makes recommendations. Very compassionate.She is intelligent and direct and assumes that you are also.
