Dr. Suman Narumanchi, MD

This physician is uncaring. She completely missed a diagnosis and left my husband suffering, loosing weight very quickly, and in terrible pain. Instead of treating acute pancreatitis she took him off of IV to radio and gave him IV Tylenol. And when the pain was so bad she transferred him to another floor and said he was in alcohol withdrawal which was completely wrong. Never followed up on radiology recommendations. One moth a 4 days later he was taken to Rush and within 2 hours was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. She fail him, our family, and did not follow up on testing. Pain medication was denied and given at such low levels he would sweat and cry. If you value your loved ones life and comfort level never see this physician. We even confronted her that this could be cancer by the radiologist’s comment on the report that stated “can not rule out mass”. All verifiable by medical records. Stay away. Her missed diagnosis wouldn’t have changed the outcome as he died 6 months later. But… she surely didn’t have to leave him in horrific pain. There should be laws against this kind of care.

I met this doctor as an inpatient at Good Shephard Hospital. I found her kind, and smart. I felt that she uniquely made my health matters easy to understand.
