Dr. Sumit Puran Mahajan, MD

I had been seen at another practice nothing was healing. A family member was seeing Dr. Mahajan . Through them I became a patient. Best care and concern for my health. Knowledge base of my needs have given way to swifter resolve . Good staff in office too.

It's a waste of time for me to keep coming here. I have been ill since the age of 24 year's old. Recently 2 of my Dr's quit taking Mr insurance..and I had to go to my primary Dr which is Dr Mahajan only to find out he won't and cannot refill my scripts because he isn't allowed to...due to getting in trouble from the medical board. He says he won't and I wondered why...I searched him and found out he got into trouble and isn't allowed to. He's an internal medicine Dr who cannot prescribe all types of medications. I switched because of him being an internal medicine Dr and being here in Yucca Valley.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mahajan for a few years now. When I first came to Dr. Mahajan, I was so sick I thought I was going to die. I couldn't breathe, or get out of bed, but Dr. Mahajan listened and put me on the right medications. I'm a different person now. Thank you, Dr. Mahajan, for helping me live a more productive and healthy life.

I went to his office and he told me: Stop telling people that you have a stroke, stop telling people that you have a tumor!" since then he has been failing to give me treatment or/and refferal for a MOI and CT scand needed for the neurosurgeon to review the tumor. For months we have been patience enough! We need better doctor!

This Dr. has a serious personality disorder. Hates poor people, told me that no one in America works. Resents having to do anything himself, farms you out to specialists. Won't help with insurance or other doctors. Lies. Overdosed me on warfarin, didn't get my INR back to me for days, refused to prescribe adequate pain medication, (I have MS and Lupus), allowed my condition to deteriorate. After having seizures for four days, he refused to see me, after I complained to my insurance. I then received a letter of termination from him. Every time I tried to get in on an emergency basis, he told me to go to the hosp, which is pretty much the only medical care I have received in 6 mos. They kept telling me to get a different doctor, every one of them. Don't ever argue with him or his staff, even when they blatently lie to you, he'll just get rid of you.

I've seen just about every doctor within 50 miles of Twentynine Palms. I'm young with recent onset chronic illness and all other doctors acted put out when I went to them for help, a diagnosis and treatment options - I was just a nuisance they didn't have a pill for. Dr. Mahajan is the first doctor that not only picked up on the cause of my illness in the first appointment, but that was interested and willing to treat a case more complex than the sniffles. I highly recommend this doctor, especially if you're dealing with any chronic or undiagnosed illness/symptoms. He's the only doctor in 29 Palms, Yucca Valley, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, or Indio that I would even consider recommending - yes, I have seen that many. In fact, before Dr. Mahajan I was driving down to Santa Monica for primary care.

very rude staff that always are confused and seem not to know how, why, what or who is in charge or how to handle anything. I like the doctor and have been seeing him for some time, but i never want to deal with his office staff, because even when there should be no problem, they seem to make one. there is always a feeling that the staff is fighting among themselves and one person is trying to control everyone else and does not know what she is doing. I have to call more then once to get my meds refilled. it is turning into a bad...... experience to go to the doctor and i always leave with my blood pressure elevated.

I am going out of my way to make a comment because I feel it is warrented. This doctor is extremely rude, his staff, with one exception (and I have no idea why she stays with him) is the epitome of unprofessional behavior. horrific bedside manners, follow ups, you name it! As far as his ability in the medical field he is tops, great at what he does( internal medicine) Its just not worth putting up with the incompetent staff, and the headaches that you have to endure! to get anywhere, with anything.Save yourself the trouble and just bang your head against the wall, and take a couple of asprin. Really dissipointed with a doctor who started out well. I was his patient for ten years. He just needs to he over himself! The word I'm looking for is arrogant.

Dr Sumit Mahajan, is rude, a drug pusher Un professional and disrespectful, to me my husband and at least 2 more people who i know have seen him.
