Dr. Sumuk Sundaram, MD

Dr. Sundaram is an excellent doctor. He treats you with respect and always finds the problem. Takes time with his patients and doesn't rush them in and out. He truly cares!

Dr Sundaram is a wonderful Dr. He seems to really care about his patients. I have been a patient of his for 15 yrs.

He is always concerned, very kind and compassionate.

Dr Sundaram is the best MD that I have had since my regular DR. Died. He talkes care of just about everyone in my family, and I have a pretty big family. His bed side manner is great, he listens to you and is simpathetic for you, and he really cares about his patients and what is going on in their lives.

Dr. Sundaram may seem at first to be distant. He is, however, an excellent doctor and good diagnostician. His reserved manner is replaced by a kind and caring one once he gets to know his patient better. He is a good listener and doesn't hesitate to refer his patients to specialists when he thinks it's necessary. He keeps a couple of slots open at the end of each day so if you call his office early in the morning needing an appointment that day, chances are good you'll get in to see him. I don't know any other doctor who does that.

The patient is my 3rd husband losing one 14days after open heart surgery using Loyola and the other to malignant melanoma at U of I Chgo. The care at Provena was exceptional and there is not enough words in the dictionary to express my gratitude regarding Dr Sundaram, the other doctors and attentive staff . My husband could not have been in better hands. I can only say my husband could not have had a better doctor during the aftermath of a mini stroke

Treats women especially with condecension and disdain and acts as if their problems are in their heads. Misses important follow up and tells women that they don't need to worry about lumps (which then turn out to be breast cancer. Terrible doctor!
