I have a rare disease that they only touch in med school. Going in after losing my previous Dr after his retirement I was at a loss. Not knowing what to do I tried Abraham because he was in the same office in Schenectady. Going in I received little of his time. Backed turned to me while consulting yauning and seemed I was wasting his time. I walked out of there feeling defeated more times then feeling helped and instead of referring me to someone that was qualified in me disease I got blood work every 6 months. Of course I have changed Drs.and see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have been going to Dr.Abraham for almost a year and am going to change doctors. Visits to him aren't pleasant as he is not open to any diagnosis except Psoriatic Arthritis. He always appears angry and I get the feeling that he doesn't believe me, same questions each time. I am in a lot of pain and getting no relief from him at all. He goes strictly by the blood work results not the symptoms you are feeling. Spends very little time with you and has never examined me physically except for my hands. I don't think the diagnosis is correct, I have no lesions at all. Questions are not answered.

I was in pain for 4+ years, many specialists and a different Rheumatologist. Finally I was referred to Dr. Abraham. He did blood work, MRI ... and accurately diagnosed me with Psoriatic Arthritis. I am now on medication and 2 months pain free. He gave me back my quality of life!

I was a former patient of Dr Abraham's partner, Dr Donald Wexler, who was EXCELLENT! Unfortunately Dr. Wexler retired so I decided to try Dr. Abraham who relocated to THE CENTER FOR RHEUMATOLOGY . Since dealing with Dr. Abraham, I have my prescriptions sent to the wrong pharmacy, wrong address. During appts. I was lucky to receive 4 minutes worth of contact time with him. Every time I had a flare-up with my Psoriatic Poly-Arthritis, and made an appt. he always had a different diagnosis of what the problem was. He would just indicate that I take advil OTC until symptoms subside. He does not listen, he almost sounds like he guesses whats wrong WITHOUT INVESTIGATING ANY FURTHER. No tests, other than blood, No X-Rays, No image studies....Nothing. Plus at the Center for Rheumatology, you feel like your in a large cattle car, waiting for the next NUMBER to be called. They make you say your date of birth out in the open BEFORE you walk through the door to the exam rooms. If your… looking for a Rheumatologist, please look elswhere! It seems like Dr Abraham has a large case load, and not enough attention to detail is given to patients.
